buried deep in the mix are two morse code patterns playing two separate ride cymbals --

left channel: "resident evil"
right channel: "a secure place"

as to the track, it's a mashup of two "resident evil 2" tracks - "secure place (save room)" and "ada's theme". there are also nods to bjork's track "play dead" and the guitar work of the cure. i went for a motoric beat to hold things together, before fading out with a sample from a company called "Ethereal 2080" (ds_bitter_sweet_textured_piano_loop_80_dm_wet")

2nd last FAWM track for '25, a song about running in circles and history repeating. I liked to think of this whole project as a big loop, full of references and callbacks and forwards, so as I wrapped up this thing it felt natural to make a song like this. Short, but (bitter)sweet, and maybe a wee bit political.

Ouroboros

Caoineag (2025) - Celtic traditions meet electro
Drawing its name from the mythical spirit, Caoineag (pronounced kwee-nak) combines Scottish folklore with deep house and progressive trance. Caoineag is a banshee-like figure whose sorrowful cries foretell death and tragedy. With its entrancing melody and its Gaelic influences, this song sounds like a mournful cry in the open - atmospheric, haunting, mystic, yet beautiful in its own way.

Caoineag

Singer/songwriter from Canada. I have a few other pages (some I lost access to), but this one is for my main projects. I make no presumptions with genres, so I'll go with "Indie Rock Artist", which, yeah, is the most indie thing you can say. Music is Life, Happiness, Creativity, yada yada yada. Can't live without it. Hope you at least mildly enjoy what I love making!
