Book I : "Deserted"

It began with pure fear in the silence of the Sonoran
Then came the heat, dry, hallucinatory
He wandered beneath the sun that didn't blink
Chasing the echoes of a Mescal dream
Macabre shapes started to form in the Dust
His footsteps started to vanish
Time started to unfold
The groove called him deeper
Ancient rhythms shifted the sand
By the time he reached the Western edge...
He was no longer lost

He had just become a part of the story

He wandered deeper into the desert
As a strange, lonely singing echoed across the dunes
The white heat burned as he fell to his knees
When he pressed his fist into the sand 
He felt a steady pulse 
A new rhythm moving beneath him
He had discovered the everlasting lifeblood of the desert
