Brandon L. Smith grew up in the humble home of a pastor. Both father and mother helped him understand early on the importance of having a relationship with Christ. They taught him music while he was young and allowed him to start ministering with them in music at the churches they pastored. After high school Brandon went to college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in music and an Associate of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries from Southwestern Assembly of God University.  Brandon is also an Ordained Minister of the Gospel through Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville, AR. He married his beautiful wife Melissa in 2003 and they have one child, an adorable daughter named Kalee.
 
Brandon has dedicated his life to seeing the church succeed. He has spent much of his time in ministry, not only working on a musical craft but training and releasing leaders to do the work of the Lord. Brandon is a student of leadership and has a desire to see people reach their potential in Christ.
 
The creation of Brandon L. Smith's self-titled debut album is birthed out of more than a decade of leading worship in the local church. Over the years Brandon has poured his heart and soul into serving the Body of Christ. He's been focused on providing people the opportunity to worship and experience the presence of God through the ministry of music. Brandon is helping the local church succeed by leading and training others to lead in effective congregational worship. 

In worship I'm singing praise carrying with it the message of the Gospel of Grace, the only Gospel; that which is the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ received through; and delivered by, the Power of His Holy Spirit the revelation of the Love that our Daddy has for His dearly beloved children. We are righteous today and forever more because of the perfect finished work of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Highly favoured, dearly loved. BLACK&BLEU fuses the diverse influences of 80’s New Wave with modern Punk, Electronic, Pop and Rock. Utilizing a combination of analog and digital instruments and vocal modulation processors, the band strives for a sound with a nostalgic flavour and modern appeal. The result is a unique blend that is refreshingly fun and catchy.

This is a catalog of my original songs, some secular 1970-1981 and the rest Christian worship and special music. 

I just wanted to get these songs out and have a platform and resource to direct listeners to and also to archive my past works.

I've been a professional music since 1970 and played in a couple secular groups, The Marlay Brother's Band, Montanna, and Blue Magnum. In 1981, Taos, NM, I gave my heart and life to the Lord and have been leading worship and even served as Associate Pastor. My life and music is now dedicated to honor and glorify the Lord and to bless and minister to the body of Christ.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, the Lord, His Holy Spirit, His Word and hope it all reflects in the content of my Christian material. My older and secular songs are just for archiving and I have even rewritten some of them into Christian songs. I consider it an honor and a privilege to share this music with you and hope that it ministers grace to the hearer.

My older songs serve only to show where I was, where I came from and what the Lord has done in me and brought me to. Everyone past, I accept and embrace the fact that i was a sinner and I have been saved by grace through Jesus Christ. I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and rejoice that my name is now written in the "Lamb's Book of Life". To God be the glory forever and ever!

I started playing the piano around the age of 12. My parents bought us a keyboard and I taught myself how to play.  I have recently started mixing in different instruments from the keyboard to give my music a more full band sound. My plan is that in the future I will be able to mix a complete song (full band-- drums, guitars ect) from my keyboard. It is a work in progress so stay tuned! I owe my musical talent to our Heavenly Father. It is because of Him that my ability is where it is today...
