Desert Trax is proud to present the newest sonic offering from Desert Dwellers, "Dive Into Forever." Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe are unleashing another set of groundbreaking tracks on this EP.  This time they have collaborated with the soulful songstress Ixchel Prisma, who added a major component to the overall enchantment of these tunes.  Together they have seamlessly interwoven Ixchel's spacious lyrics within the forward moving psychedelic atmospheres of the desert. Showcasing their versatility as sound designers, Desert Dwellers have significantly adapted and developed their production value to best suit and complement the voice that shines throughout.
  
The first song, "Dive Into the Core", is overflowing with meditative modulations and a palpable poetic presence.  Greatly influenced by the work of Phaeleh, the track begins with a gentle whisper that invokes the feeling of a lullaby.  As it progresses, spacious synthesizers and a proliferation of pads filter in and out,  providing a blissful background for Ixchel's verses and catchy choruses.  "Dive Into the Core" is a very archetypal composition that will garner affection and adoration for its lovely lyrics and script, edifying the mystical nature of musical mythos, and the rebirth symbolism of the phoenix rising from the ashes. 

Harken back to the origin of Desert Dwellers and hear reborn the second song on this EP, which is a revamped rendition of one of their oldest and most beloved manifestations, "You Can See Forever." The hypnotic dance vibe of this version of the tune will most certainly captivate any listener.  The instrumentation and vibe is a lot more psychedelic compared to "Dive into the Core," featuring a heavy dose of delayed FX, ethnic woodwinds and incredible incantations.  When listening, It's pretty hard to not imagine yourself wandering the desert with an endless moonlit horizon in front of you.

Deep in the Mojave Desert, under the November full moon known among many names as the "Moon When All Is Gathered In", we gathered and danced for the last time in 2013 . . . and what a gathering it was! This set was played in the wee hours of the night into the sunrise, during a most epic moonset.

The year was 1996 and a young, wide-eyed James Glenton was first introduced to dance music after a wrong turn at Knebworth Festival led him away from Oasis and into the electronic embrace of The Chemical Brothers. Four years later and with his trusty student loan burning a hole in his wallet, James walked sheepishly into his first record shop and bought his first piece of vinyl. Since that fateful day, James quickly set about getting his hands on a dusty pair of 1210s and after a few years of trainwrecks, has since been seen bouncing around as Lebrosk playing behind the decks of countless clubs, boats, warehouses and festivals both in the UK and across Europe. 

After a 3 year stint as radio presenter on renowned Breakbeat radio station Ramp FM, James took over as station manager on the revamped Ramp Shows Blog and has established himself as someone with a keen ear for new music and a passion for discovering cutting edge new artists.

You know, no joke intended, it takes a lot of BALLS to step forward as a female DJ in boy dominated Boston.Â  There’s ego, testosterone, jealousy, no joke sometimes it can get really hairy, but our girl D-Lux, aka Laura Deluca, has proven time and time again that dance music is about a hell of a lot more than bromance!

D-Lux, a DJ who is continually refining her sound can be described as deep, drummy, tastefully techno and vocal with the appropriate feminine touch. Â  Her super tight mixing skills behind the decks, honest humble attitude and open mindedness to new sounds make her an irresistible crowd pleaser.Â  Catch D-Lux as she opens up the Dancing On The Charles 2009 season on Saturday, June 20th in Cambridge, MA.

Howdy! You found my Soundcloud page! Rather than speak in the third person, I thought I'd just say hi!  Beyond the dj sets I post here I have multiple releases on various labels under the name Myad ranging from midtempo to psytrance, and am a resident/organizer of Moontribe Collective!
Lately in my music world I've been putting out tunes under a brokenbeat alias, brandroid, here and there, so dont be afraid to check out my other pages to see if I've posted something fresh there as well!
