This is a collection of solo classical guitar compositions written together as a set. It tells a story of angry witches out for blood, but who later find themselves captivated by rival wizards who subdue the witches with magic. An adventure ensues, but the witches later awaken to find it was all a dream...or was it?

One of the first compositions I ever wrote with Finale back in 2004. I'd still not yet really understood notation or orchestration. I was writing a lot back then despite my lack of knowledge, hundreds of pieces, some finished, some not. At the time I wrote a series of orchestral pieces that were to tell a story similar to "The Little Mermaid", but not exactly the same. I'm not sure why, but I went with what was flowing. The series is called "Dream Orient" and involves several orchestral pieces, a solo harp piece, solo guitar, and some chamber pieces to complete the "story". This is Mvt.4 from the set.

This is part of a set of music I wrote when I was just starting to write music for the first time. I'd just gotten ahold of Finale and was learning to read and write. I had a grand idea of creating a set of music with different formats that would be a live soundtrack to a theater piece with a story much like "The Little Mermaid", but quite different in many ways.

Dream Orient - The Castle Scene - For Chamber Ensemble

This is part of the Dream Orient project that I'd started as a very early conception in my journey as a music composer. I still didn't fully understand reading/writing and instrumentation, but I was able to take concepts and create something. This is "The Ship Scene" as part of a large set of pieces that tell a story somewhat analogous to "The Little Mermaid" in some ways. The concept was to have dancers/actors performing silently to the music as a kind of music poetry/theater story, much like ballet. I don't know how long I'll leave these Dream Orient pieces here, but I rediscovered them and thought it was worth sharing for now, even though they're a little underdeveloped.
