Following his successful Collider EP last year on Yoshitoshi along with his remix of Luzon’s classic “Manila Sunrise", Khainz is back and this time with a bag full of gems. We're delighted to announce the Swiss wunderkind will be releasing his third artist album (and first since 2012), Fingerprint, on Yoshitoshi in June of 2019. From this upcoming album we have extracted the Reflect EP; a teaser that features three of the album tracks, each representing Khainz’s production range and studio wizardry. 

We kick things off with Next, a perfect intro track that sets the stage for the energy to come. The track begins with slow and heavenly synthesizers, teasing listeners for a while with fluttery melodies before dropping into one of Khainz’s signature, stomping grooves. Beautiful phrases continue throughout, making Next the kind of track that makes dancers close their eyes and feel every moment. Next comes Reflect (no pun intended), a tune you may have heard in an episode of Yoshitoshi Radio, as it’s been a staple of Sharam’s sets for months. It picks up right where Next leaves off, with a dark, impending vibe that develops into a huge melodic techno banger. A mysterious vocal hook appears throughout the track which is sure to get stuck in your head, as anyone who’s heard the track thus far is aware. Finally, it wouldn’t be a Khainz release without some hard-driving techno, and Reconnect delivers on that front. The tune is impeccably produced, each drum hit and bass sound carefully sculpted in Khainz’s sonic laboratory for maximum force. This one will find a happy home in the crates of DJ’s who need a secret weapon for peak moments.

If these three tunes are a preview of what’s to come on Fingerprint, then we’re truly in for something special (and, having had the privilege of hearing it, we can assure you that’s the case). Khainz continuously sets a high bar for both the quality and quantity of his productions, churning out amazing tracks like a machine. Stay tuned for the full release of the album on June 28th, we can’t wait to share it with you!

Say hello to one of our all time favourite producers: Christian Bonori was born and raised in Italy but soon conquered Europe and the rest of the world. He started out in 2000 when electronic music had already reached a proper amount of recognition all around the globe. He is a true legend and we're super happy to welcome him on the label. Christian is known for killer productions and an eye for the detail. That's why he was already discovered by some of the biggest labels: Suara, Yoshitoshi, Time Has Changed and the list continues. But not only that. It seems like every artist wants to remix Christian's tracks. His work has been reinterpreted by Felix Krcher, Pig&Dan, Hans Bouffmyhre and many more!His debut EP is called Indus - like the famous river in Pakistan. It's a melodic bomb that's full of hypnotic grooves and percussions. Its key melody spirals through the track for six and a half minutes and is carried by a constant four to the floor beat catapulting you into a different universe. And as we've already told you: Everyone wishes to remix Christian. So we had to decide on another great producer for that. In the end, our friend Beatamines took his precious time and transformed Indus in a more melancholic kind of track. His remix is super groovy as well but shoved the main theme more into the background, focusing on minor chords and a minimalistic break with synth elements for the little extra. But let's get to the second track of Christian's Jaw Dropping EP. Dabih is the name of one of the stars in Capricornus. Its that spherical energy that definitely reflects in the track. The driving house beat is supported by choir like chants that could be soundscapes coming from space. But - of course - we can't stop here. After inviting a superstar like Beatamines for a remix, we asked our beloved Daniel Jaeger who Berliners will know from the Criminal Bassline parties and label or Wilde Renate's Bordel Des Arts - one of the coolest parties in town. He completes this perfect house release with a more percussion oriented version of Dabih that is a little more stripped back, less drama and buildup but without lacking Christian's core aesthetic.
