Strewn amidst the rubble of a long-forgotten ruin lay the fractured shards of a mask of exquisite craftsmanship, each individual piece beautiful even in its broken state. Hewn and carved of a smooth volcanic stone, its fragments seemed untouched by the weight of time that had impressed itself upon their surroundings. Where columns had crumbled and murals had faded from glory, the surface of the mask’s many pieces lay alone without the wear of wind, weather, or the sunlight which refracted gently off of its surface.

Resting amidst a ruined temple that had recently reemerged from the duned landscape that surrounded it, the shards of the mask took to the sunlight in a manner akin to a flowering plant in bloom, their surfaces becoming more lustrous as the sun’s rays washed over them for the first time in millennia. Warmed by the blessing of the sky once more the mask’s constituent parts slowly drew towards each other, seeking out the siblings from which they had been separated for so long as they began to lock into place beside each other once more. As each did so, the seams of their former shattering retreated beneath the now inky surface of the mask. As the whole of the mask began to come once more into a unified being, its face began to display an otherworldly countenance that exuded an energy of serene contemplation enhanced by the pair of glowing sunlit orbs that now lay within its eye sockets. Rising up from the earth upon which it had lain for so long, the mask then propelled itself forwards across the rolling dunes of the desert and began its search for an individual of the proper linage to bear its MYTHIC IMAGE upon the world once more.
MYTHIC IMAGE bring their debut EP to the ears of the EATBRAIN horde as they embark on an experimental sonic journey inspired by multiple metaphysical realities that sees them set to explore the boundaries of sound design and emotional resonance possible within electronic music. Formed of the sonic union of EATBRAIN alumni NICKBEE and American bass music produced RIVER ACCORSI, the new duo stand ready to enlighten the EATBRAIN horde with the inner workings of their sonic philosophy across the EP’s five tracks as their new project’s visage is projected throughout the EATBRAIN network for the first time.

Well, it's finally here.

After (quite) some time, we proudly present the sophomore entry in our indulgent experimental VA series.

Matter:2 has been curated with one thing in mind - to showcase a more creative & organic texture of Drum & Bass than is normally heard, and to fly the flag of experimental and underrated artists from across the globe. 

The first edition, Matter:1, was at that point our first paid project, and our first multi-track release. Since then we have come on leaps and bounds, now ready to drop a VA that's over twice as long as it's predecessor. 

This album is designed to be enjoyed start to finish - but feel free to consume this however suits you best. 

As I type this, over at ITL HQ we're gearing up for our first festival season, starting with Rampage Open air. We're truly astounded that there are so many people out there supporting and following our vision - we can only thank you all for every rate, every stream, every download, every play. 

Well that just about means my time rambling here  is up, we remain - as always - obediently yours.

“In the distant future, long after the world had succumbed to catastrophic climate change and nuclear devastation, humanity found refuge in the most unexpected of places—the depths of the sea. The surface had become a barren wasteland, and the survivors were forced to adapt, their civilization evolving into an underwater society.

Amid the vast, uncharted expanse of the ocean's depths, the survivors had established their subaquatic civilization. It was a testament to human ingenuity and resilience. They'd repurposed the wreckage of sunken ships, transforming them into the foundations of their new world, creating a network of interconnected habitats with intricate tunnels and airlocks. Seaweed gardens and schools of bioluminescent fish provided sustenance, and the city's engineers had devised a means of extracting essential resources from the very water that enveloped them.

Yet, for all their adaptation, the surface's haunting memories lingered in the collective consciousness. Tales of barren wastelands, scorched skies, and the desolation of once-teeming cities haunted the dreams of every generation. Arianna often found herself gazing at a tattered, weathered photograph that had somehow survived the apocalypse. In it, a lush forest overlooked a sparkling lake, the golden glow of a setting sun casting long shadows. Her father had taken the photograph, and it was a glimpse into a world that now existed only in the faded memories of the elderly and the frayed pages of history books.”

After almost 2 years of the making, Marek Dadok aka Drop Database finished his path, ready to set his ‘Voyager EP’ free to start its journey. The four-track release consists of deep atmospheric rollers, stinkers, and storytelling bits that will take you on an adventure from the levels of the sea to the depths of an unknown abyss. And so the Man behind the label’s graphic postproduction after several singles fully enters the imprint of SINFUL MAZE discography, delivering the results of his destined duties.

Close2Death are celebrating a Decade in the Neurofunk game and to mark this Milestone we are unleashing a 2 Part RMX LP using only the finest tracks from the C2D Vault. Behold… the DEATH CHAMBER 10 years of Close2Death RMX LP.

Part 1 releasing in February/March 2017 boasts Top Quality Artists such as the Clamps, QO, Skynet, Merikan, Splash Heads, Volatile Cycle, Barbarix & Int Company. Kicking it off, the Clamps RMX the massive Rusty K AC130 track. Expect automatic pump action drums and head crushing bass from this revamped edition. Next up we have Silent Extent Falling down remixed by Int Company. Any True Supporter of C2D will know this Masterpiece. The track was truly an anthem back in the day and Int Company have done it justice. Int Company feature heavily in Part 1 remixing not 1, not 2, but 3 C2D Bangers. Expect your eardrums to explode when you hear Merikan’s Code Alpha 6 and 27 miles by Khronos given the once over by the Int guys.

Skynet touches down on C2D revamping a belter of a tune - Overload. He brings his unique style to the Khronos track leaving the Underfire stamp all over it by mixing Sci-Fi melodies and bone shaking bass. Of course, it wouldn’t be a C2D release without Merikan. This Mad Man delivers with his insane RMX of Archangel by Kroks. Merikan reloads this track with pure energy from start to finish.

The Destruction Duo that are Volatile Cycle are ON FIRE and we had to make them apart of this Line Up. These guys picked a few tracks to tear up so expect more from these guys in Part 2… In part 1 Volatile Cycle RMX Scavenger by Khronos bringing this track to the gutter of filth and back.Dizkert works his dark magic on Merikan’s Psychological Trauma. Traumatised is what you will be after hearing this beast of a RMX. The Gruesome Twosome from Russia, Warp Fa2e and Subminderz are no strangers to C2D. They opted to RMX The Sin War by Khronos and they have totally destroyed this track (in a good way).

C2D’s long time buddies Anthrax are up next reworking KILL IT, a track by our Exclusive Artist Warp Fa2e. Warp Fa2e returns the favour by remixing Mutation by Anthrax & Kroks in his Quirky Russian Style. Last but by no means least, we have another Merikan tune, All Crime is Legal (Feat Cruk) remixed by Kroks. Using cutting edge sound designs and insane drum patterns, this track is upbeat and finishes the LP off nicely.

KHRONOS - SCAVENGER - VOLATILE CYCLE RMX

I carefully selected the master tracks of my releases between 2004-2009. These files have not been recorded from vinyl nor other analog medium. 
All files are digital and directly form my DAW! 

Of course you can find most of the music online as digital download or stream, but 90% of these are recorded of the vinyl. 

This is because back in the day no one really produced for digital downloads, it was all about vinyl. 

That is why i thought it´s a good thing to make all these tunes accessible as "true" digital download !
