It would be very hard to put Crooked Kane into one category. He is an MC, musician, producer, editor, designer, marketer, promoter, and completely independent. 

 As a kid in school, Kane did not do well with paying attention. Creativity was his one and only ambition, "I hated school, no one understood how I learnt things." After failing every class or barely passing and being told repeatedly that he would never become something to be proud of, Kane turned his back on school and dropped out with no hesitation. 

 "I seen Kid Rock’s music video for “Cowboy,” and I was sold, I knew right there and then, THATS WHAT I WANTED TO BE."

 Immediately Kane knew he needed to make this happen, he teamed up with his childhood friend also another local MC that goes by the name of Bzerk. They have worked together from day one. As a team, they did whatever it took to earn money and soon purchased an old 8 track tape recorder, a 14 dollar microphone and created their own independent record label. “We wrote songs nonstop day and night. It was an addiction." With a tonne of old school flavour and new school delivery the boys have easily developed a unique style incomparable to any other MC in the Australian Hip Hop scene.

 After honing his skills writing lyrics, making beats and free styling, it was time for Crooked Kane to take it to the people. After winning several rap battles in a major city, Kane soon became a battle champion meeting different MCs from all over. He has opened for sold out shows, helped raise money by perforimg for numerous charity organisations and is now being invited to do a show at a new venue every week with friend and fellow MC Bzerk along with upcoming duo The Doc N Len1. 

 Cooked Kane has gone from high school dropout to a very well known hip hop artist and credited battle rapper within the hip hop community. With regular plays on Triple J Unearthed and other music networks, Kane is constantly gaining more and more social media coverage day by day racking up thousands of views on YouTube and constantly raising the bar with every song he releases. His momentum is only going to increase.
