[A] MidKnighT MooN - Borneo:
Opening the EP is Borneo, a track that adopts MidKnighT MooN's distinctive deep and minimalistic style, with familiar snappy drums and murky mid bass reeses. Infused with stabs and dark chilling piano, producing deep and expansive sounds to replicate the feeling of moving through the dense Borneo jungle.

[B] MidKnighT MooN - Hold On:
Hold On is an atmospheric track fraught with emotion as it centres around its deep and almost sinister bassline. A tight drum combination and additional plucky strings, work together with a dark and mysterious saxophone to set the tone, whilst subtle Techno elements are hidden within.

[C] MidKnighT MooN - Transtemporal:
The title track Transtemporal is progressive in style and inspired by some of the early workings of Commix. As is evident by the spacious and aerated feel, to give a sense of floating, which is achieved through the use of an old school low frequency sub, for extra depth and to reminisce about the golden days of Drum & Bass.

[D] MidKnighT MooN - Keep It Moving:
Keep It Moving is a track that was influenced by a passion for Hard House during MidKnighT MooN's early years as a musician. Featuring vocal enhancements and a mid range inspired by an old Defective Audio track, merged with mystical sounds, rolling bass and modern drums, to bring a nostalgic style up to date and into the present.

[E] MidKnighT MooN - Another Dimension:
Completing the EP is the 5th and final track Another Dimension, which owes its origins to the new sound of Techno. A dynamic Drum & Bass track designed be the pathway to the galaxy with a futuristic sounding horn and exploratory chimes, deep subs and continuous arps that evolve into pads and seemingly go on forever.

Solar Fields is without a doubt one of the most talented electronic producers weve seen on this planet. Under moniker Solar Fields, he composed 12 albums and appeared on over 60 various compilations. 

The first solo release, Reflective Frequencies, signed on Ultimae in 2001 presented an ambient music patchwork with a constant yet ever-changing structure, at times cold and mechanic, at others warm and soothing. A very promising debut which set the pace for Blue Moon Station two years later, where the artist explored the high tech downtempo and trance energies and focused on the notion of a long fluid story in a futuristic environment. 


The last couple of years weve seen Solar Fields focusing on the more chill ambient side of his career, so a little nudge and encouragement from label boss John 00 fleming made Solar Fields rediscover this dance side of himself to produce this outstanding master piece that were super proud to release hear at JOOF Recordings. 

Pulse was born. To add icing to this very special cake, a producer that also shares the title of being one of the most talented producers on the planet, firmly put his hand up to do remix duties after hearing the news of our signing. Airwave brings his outstanding breaks goodness making one of the highest quality releases thats weve seen on JOOF Recordings.

Hebra - La Isla Pirata [Free Download]

For Eris’s mixtape “Raving Disco Breaks Vol. 1”, she uses old records to create a new style out of fragments. Many of the selections have been featured heavily in her live DJ sets, including her b2b sets with Octo Octa. Eris accumulated these records slowly, over decades, but it wasn’t until touring last year that she realized a “sound” coalesced in her bag. What does a rave at the disco sound like? Kinda like everyone took ecstasy at the roller rink. On her ecstatic mix, Eris colleges together a genre by scratching-in breaks with horn samples, mixing Disco House with broken beats, dropping Miami Bass jams with Boogie keys and blending Rave tunes with disco vocals. On the mix Eris utilizes turntable techniques such as “doubles” tricks and “hot mixing”—a fast-paced mixing style inspired by her beloved B96 Mixmasters, Chicago’s most popular 1990’s radio DJs. Like all of Eris’s mixes, she weaves strong narratives of embodiment, defiance, cultural transcendence and personal triumph (a classic disco emotion) into a flow of body rockin’ beats, scratches, drops, and sweet melodies. The result is a bass heavy summertime house mix for the psychedelic bad girls, boys and enbys.

Aquarian makes and plays music that feels familiar but is hard to pin down. His take on techno, jungle, rave and bass is alien and unique, a blend of the Berlin, London and Detroit sounds we all know and love, but with a little something extra injected into it to give it a mutant sense of funk. The Canadian is now based in Germany and has released on Quiet Time Tapes as well as his own Hanger Management.

His mix is a devastating study in rhythm, contorted drum programming and warped bass that is stripped back to its bare essentials but that is constantly on the move and keeping you guessing. It starts off twisted and tightly coiled, complex and involving, but slowly loosens up and heads straight forward in thrilling fashion. Electro, ghetto, IDM, drum & bass and more all get chawed up and spat out in ways that only Aquarian can.
