South Africa- and UK-based NANO Records' monthly radiOzora series next episode will be presented by BROKEN TOY. 

BROKEN TOY is James Copeland from Cape Town, South Africa. 
His unique take on producing fullon psytrance with a twisted and quirky edge has earned him his position as one of the most low, down and dirty dancefloor manipulators in the scene today. Combining a forward thinking attitude with respect to the oldschool, you can expect a hard-hitting yet groovy dancefloor experience mixing elements of funk, indie-electro, and rocking psytrance. 
ITs hard to imagine, but 2013 already marks 10 years of Broken Toy! Having started his career back in 2001 as a member of the project “Damage”, he was one of the pioneers of the South African psytrance scene alongside such artists as Rinkadink, Protoculture, and Shift. Soon after, he started the Broken Toy solo project and joined Uk based Alchemy records back in 2003. 
Since then he has released over 70 tracks on various labels such as Nano, Spun, Timecode, Solar tech, etc and 2 full length albums on Alchemy records - his self-titled debut album and 2007`s “The low, down, dirty sound of…” 
He has toured to over 20 countries and has played at major festivals all over the world such as Boom festival in Portugal, Glade festival in the UK, Full Moon festival in Germany, SOnica in Italy, Universo Parallelo in Brazil as well as all the major parties in South Africa such as Origin, Rezonance, Vortex, H20, Alien Safari, etc. 
2010 saw him branching out in 2 new directions - going back to his roots as a metal guitarist and bass player with his tongue-in-cheek psy-rock project “Super evil” and also with an electro breaks project called “Nesono”. More recently in 2013, he`s taken things down a notch and made some Swing/gypsy-jazz flavoured tech house in his new self titled project, James Copeland and also Progressive techno project Sad Paradise. 
With so many creative outlets, an uncluttered and refined vision of Broken Toy has emerged in 2013, set to ignite dancefloors across the world once more. Look out for a new album as well as the Broken Toy 10 year anniversary VA featuring remixes by all his friends across the globe out soon!

Inspired by the burgeoning Psy-Trance scene of Cape Town, Nano Records was born in 2000 as an international voice for South African producers. Over the years Nano Records has expanded into one of the top Psy-Trance labels on the international scene and is now home to artists from around the world. A global label with deep roots in Africa.

A lot has changed and developed over these last 16 years. Not only does the SA Psy scene now have a wide range of world renowned DJs & Producers, but also has massively successful Decor Artists, Visionary Artists & Festival gatherings. The scene in South Africa continues to grow and morph, at times influenced by the international Psy scene, at other times dancing to the beat of its own drum.

In celebration of this we have collected a taste of music and art from some (and this really is only 'some' - as there are many more flavours) of South Africa's top Psy-Trance producers and Visionary Artists. So prepare yourself for a strong dose of South African Psychedelics !
