Since Maxime Dangles' contribution to our head honcho Gregor Tresher's 'Breaking New Soil Vol. 7' early 2015 we received several fantastic new oevres from the frenchman. It wasn't easy to decide which ones to release but Sian (Octopus Records) gave us a hand and focussed on 'Fokal' for his remix! Anyway we are proud to release Maxime's new EP on Break New Soil and  are curious how you share our taste.

Vril is still a relatively little known artist but already he has some great accolades to his name: He has released a couple of great EPs on Giegling sub label Staub, had a track on Marcel Fengler's Berghain mix, Dettmann's Conducted and now appears with the 103rd release on Delsin. What he serves up is three titanic techno tracks designed with maximum dancefloor damage in mind.

So big are these productions that we got a message back from that well known mastering company in germany. For some mystified causes some of our expensive equipment was crashing during the mastering session (!). They’ve been mastering records since over 20 years and that has never happened before like this.

The Vortekz EP starts with the title track and it's a dramatic bit of big room techno with nerve gangling chords and plenty of sonic grit. The dub version is slower and more purposeful and is buried in a much wider, deeper groove that snakes more than stomps. Finally comes 'y7/10', which rocks back and forth in the same rusted loop as percussion flutters like tin foil in a stormy wind. The track flows an ever-higher arc of tension that eventually erupts into a sea of analogue fuzz and hiccupping techno beats.

In 1995, Mathias Hatting made his first appearance on Oliver Huntemann's Confused Recordings under the Motion Unit moniker (teamed up with André Winter). Two decades on, his powers show no sign of abating as he returns to Huntemann's Senso Sounds label for three intense techno cuts that are fitting testimony to 20 years of expertise in sound design and soundtrack composing.
The aptly titled "Venom" kicks things off, a hypnotic, reverberating, machine music bomb that gradually expands into the space around you until it envelops every synapse and nerve.
Its counterpart "Antidote" is deep and rubbery, bedecked with glitchy crackles and a ping-ponging riff. Subtly wrought changes make it an ever-evolving, utterly immersive journey.
Last but not least, "Kammerflimmern" explores very different territory, removing the kick drum to create a postapocalyptic landscape of robot drones and percussive fluttering. Building to a pay-off that never comes, nebulous bass clouds briefly blossom then recede - a delicious exercise in restraint that will leave you wanting more.

Dynamic all throughout its course it carries the listener into the musical landscape of his imagination, ever evolving, ever changing experience of sound. Monoloc makes his debut on Hotflush recordings, the label’s first release of 2016. Following 
a recent single on Innervisions and an appearance on Life & Death, his latest offering 
‘Another Thing’ marks a departure into more atmospheric soundscapes.

The murky grandeur of the title track lends itself to moody textures that build in narrative, 
walking a knife-edge between industrial techno and minimalist dub. ‘TrySome’ conjures the 
setting of a dilapidated warehouse rave at 5am, while ‘Makeless’, with its low-slung 
percussive elements draped over misty pads and imposing bass, draws the listener further 
into Monoloc’s wormhole.

Track with an epic soul in all its aspects, with a few chords magnificent brass creating depth gradually sound marimba creates an energetic and minimalist melody, creating a first subidon input seasoned with atmospheric percus accompanied by a sound rodhes .
In the second bajon is the main melody and enter a few strings creating an epic stress and long indicating that something will end.

The main melody begins to decay until suddenly breaking surprised again.

The remix of Boronas is a different vision of the original track, a version less dancefloor but no less good, relying on the most minimal sounds that is common to hear in his productions for labels as prestigious as Visionquest.
