Remember the 28th of May? The first -but already!- legendary edition of PUNT.?

PUNT was founded by Randy Knobs & Break Rules Enjoy for the love of music. How cool would it be to have an international DJ in the intimacy of a small venue? So, we bit the bullet and did it. Edition number 1 with Fabio Florido as the main attraction was an instant hit. Randy & Break had the warm up duty that day, and since it's warm outside already, why not make it a little hotter? The recording of our side-by-side gig.

Barry, @breakrulesenjoy, has recently been established in Arnhem NL and has been playing since 1985. He prefers to play hypnotic, raw and dub when he is behind the decks or performs a hybrid set where the bpm vary between 125 and 138 He also produces his own tracks, with Richie Hawtin being one of his favorites.
He has many gigs to his name, the first being in the KM5 in Ibiza, with Grace Dahl at his own POINT. party in Arnhem, being part of Truncate's label night during ADE and the first small-scale party between the lockdowns are among his favorites.

Nearly two decades ago, Patrice Bäumel and I hosted our 360 nights at Club 11 and Trouw. Once a month, we put together a fresh mix and handed out 100 CDs for free. We ended up doing 51 mixes in total!

To this day, people ask about those mixes—or tell us they have them on CD in their cars or at home. They were never on SoundCloud and were exclusive to our 360 nights.

Now, we’ve decided to upload 10 of our favorites to SoundCloud. We had a lot of fun making them—fond memories—and we think they still sound pretty timeless. Dive in :)

It all started with playing on a radioshow somewhere back in the eighities, and like many others, from there it was a small step to school parties, the community center disco and later on becoming the resident DJ at the leading discotheque in my hometown.

Nowadays Break Rules – Enjoy (BRE for intimi) is a well established and very well-respected DJ and Producer on the Festival & Club Scene. With decades of experience, he brings his own special take on the techno music genre that he loves and adores since he was a young kid.
