Fewer names are as influential or synonymous with cutting edge progressive music than Bedrock Records. Founded in 1999 by John Digweed and Nick Muir and named after a highly successful London nightclub, Bedrock has gone on to consistently champion over 1000 tracks, each perfectly crafted and spanning various genres, including tech house, deep house, melodic, techno and of course, it's most recognisable sound, progressive house.

This mix coincides with the forthcoming release in the Quattro series. For those who are familiar with London dance music act, Spooky, or those who religiously follow everything that the likes of Sasha and Digweed put out, will undoubtedly have heard of Charlie May.
Since 1993, Charlie has produced some of the underground dance scene's most recognizable works - from his first published work "Schmoo" as one half of Spooky, through to his latest releases under his own name, his work has spanned nearly 30 years, as a music producer, sound engineer, and DJ.

To celebrate our 40th episode, we bring you a 4 hour extended special mix, featuring tracks that hooked so many of us into a life long love of progressive house & trance. Nights such as Renaissance in Mansfield, Cream in Liverpool and of course Bedrock in London were the foundations of the scene and these were the sounds that tore those dancefloors apart week in, week out - back when tempos were faster and vinyl records were the weapons of choice.
Most conneseurs of the scene will be hearing some of these tracks for the first time in years, as well as singing along to "Visons Of You" or "Till There Was You", but the current scene features a lot of younger fans and many of you won't be old enough to know these tracks and will be listening for the first time - and we envy you.
This mix has been several weeks in the making - the playlist has been revised a few times before this set was laid down in one take - without any other programming or revisions.

The room was packed from 22.00 onwards and the crowd was filled with breaks connoisseurs and partiers alike. A brilliant crowd that I am blessed to be able to play for.
