Once again, we are thrilled to be making a return to our beloved 3000 Bass platform for a fiery display, this time exploring a slightly more alien area to the platform as we turn up the tempo a tad, welcoming the combined powers of both Arc Nade and SK for a sizzling DnB delight by the name of ‘Confetti’.

This potent original sees the lethal duo create a ruckus-inducing masterclass, unloading heavyweight drum skips and a surging sweep of LFO madness, topped by SK’s smartly dubbed vocal prowess. This mix right here comes from the heart and soul of a Punk Rock, B-Boy, Breakbeat, Techfunk, Techno, DnB, House Music, Lovin Dj and a true Raver at heart. To me this mix is what a perfect night in the main room of the Legendary Home Base Concourse center would be if it was still around today. Currently Dj Rockit is a resident for some of the most notorious and well known crews in Northern California & around the world, Strategik SF, 1200 Hustle, Smoke Break Crew, Fraktured SF,  Theoryon records, Funky Flavor & Sideshow Kuts international.

Heavyweight Breaks 2020 is a snapshot of the hottest bass fuelled breaks released over the past 12 months mixed by myself Skool of Thought.

Those of you who have been following me will know I released the first Heavyweight Breaks mix CD on SuperCharged back in 2002. The approach for that mix then is the same now - 10 extremely carefully selected tracks which showcase the very best of the scene. 

The trick for me has always been to select tracks that are bass-heavy without being tear-out and uplifting without being cheesy. 

Naturally, I would like to extend my huge thanks to the heavyweight of breaks  - the producers who featured in this mix.

Dj/producer/radio host based in Manchester UK 🇬🇧 (MAD PANDA RECORDINGS, THEORYON RECORDS, THE POOTY CLUB RECORDS, GROUND LEVEL RECORDS, V.I.M. RECORDS, NSB RADIO, TOUGH BREAKS)
 
2014 was a great year for Breaksjunky, 
 After being nominated in 2013 at Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards for 'Best Breakthrough DJ' and narrowly missing out, 
he came back in 2014 even stronger to not only take the Award (putting his name on everyone’s lips) 
but also adding 'Best Radio Show' to the collection.
 
When Manchester's Breaksjunky first stepped up to the decks in 2002 he had a simple ambition, to infect the masses with Big, Fat, Dirty BASS!! 

Since those early days he has only gone from strength to strength with a string of performances for some of the biggest names in Club Land, playing along side the like of:
 
Grandmaster Flash, Dj Qbert, Plump DJs, Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Deekline, Dj Fixx, Keith Mackenzie, Martin Flex, Wes Smith, Mike Nice, Dub Pistols, Meat Katie, Cut La Roc, Elite Force, Far Too Loud, Gaudi, Jackal & Hyde, Spacemen Live, KL2, Supernaut & Justin Robertson to name a few.
 
Not content with just rubbing shoulders with the greats, Breaksjunky has made it his personal mission to play at all of the U.K's most Inspirational club nights and festivals. 
 
2013/14 saw him play a string of stand out sets across the U.K and take to the stage at Boomtown Fair, Moovin Festival, Ravenstonedale Festival and being Honoured with opening the amazing, 'Fortress' stage at The Beat-Herder Festival. 
 
As well as his own Radio Show, Awards and DJ sets, Breaksjunky is also a chart success,
With “All That Junk” co produced with Zen Cartel, "What What What" & "Rock The Disco-Tek both co Produced with Leuce Rhythms and "GET EM" co produced with Alekay, 
Which all did very well in the Beatport & Juno Breaks charts and he has lots of new projects and co labs underway.
 
Most recently Breaksjunky has started to infect USA, performing at multiple events at the 2015 Winter Music Conference in Miami,  shortly followed by a 5 show US Mini Tour in the summer which too was a huge success.

He has also played on other continents including Europe & Asia and is in the process of setting up a  European tour, 
He's all about spreading the gospel of Breaks.
 
With the buzz still going after his Awards and performances, 2015/16 is set to be a another EPIC adventure!!
