We are starting our own label, dedicated to unknown artists and newcomers only.

After running our events at Berlins infamous Wilde Renate for almost two years we thought it would the right time to expand this project.  The first instalment comes from Fufi.SNC, one third behind the SNC crew. Marlon Hoffstadt met the boys a few years ago in Suxul and has been keeping an eye on them ever since.

The release is out January 24th and will be celebrated at Savour The Moments first 2020 event at Wilde Renate on January 11th with an exclusive live set by Fufi.SNC

Seven Hills Digest 010 comes to London via Berlin at the behest of DJ Big Leg. 

Starting out with some of our literal ALL TIME FAVOURITE skippy/rolling deep bits before taking a sleazy turn & plunging us deep into a sweaty Chicago basement. The next minute? We’re at an open top club in Croatia, switching between hypers and emotional heavy hitters: dancing under the stars until 6AM. 

Deepness is the order of the day though, the umbrella under which all of the records in this mix fall under. There’s plenty a hypnotically crafted groove to lose yourself to, all rascally mixed to give you fire in your belly.

Seven Hills Digest 010 - DJ Big Leg

Born in Ploiesti, Romania, on the cusp of the Romanian Revolution, @andusimion’s artistic vision, which encompasses both music and photography, is shaped by the grey blocks of his childhood neighbourhood, industrialisation, and the remnants of a communist era that was receding just as he was arriving in the world. Influenced by the Romanian minimal movement, he has crafted his own distinctive talent for crafting deep, acid-infused journeys.

With releases on Atipic, Insound Recordings, Particular, Palinoia, Stela Music and Polen, Simion is also one third of @Lisiere-Collectif, which he founded with Bogdan Ardeleanu and Dan Gheorghe.

His Patterns of Perception 64 emerges from the aftermath of the sudden loss of his father some weeks ago. The intensity and energy of this set is marked by turmoil and introspection, with higher BPMs and more aggressive mixes reflective of the grief he has been facing. Simion has had this selection of music on repeat since his father’s passing, using its energy to carry him forwards and out into the sunlight again.

Patterns of Perception 64 - Andu Simion

As we edge painstakingly closer to the subterfuge of normality, our mix series continues to ease you into the obscurity of reality. 

Volume 004 of the Breathecast brings DRED and TANSTAAFL Records frontman John Osborn into the fold for a transcendental brain-dance concoction that slots seamlessly into the chasm of epic afterhour exploration. John has garnered a reputation for being one of the most meticulous selectors in the game, sculpting his sound via time spent in Berlin institutions like Tresor, Cookies, Panorama Bar and at the Sub:stance parties at Berghain. 

This mix draws on John’s focus on “thought and movement”. It is a deep, emotive journey categorically synonymous with his legendary electronic stylings. Sit back, relax and Breathe in the Brain Dance.

Breathecast 004 ~ John Osborn

We’re putting out the first Mister Saturday Night Records release in a long while. It’s by Russell E.L. Butler, and it’s called “Blah Blah”. The record comes out on Friday, September 4, and it contains three tracks made in Prague at the Synthesizer Library and one track made in Russell’s pre-New York home in Oakland.

On the EP’s release date Sept 4th, which is Bandcamp Day, all of the Mister Saturday Night Records share of Bandcamp proceeds from the release will go to Princess Janae Place, an organization that provides referrals to housing for chronically homeless LGBTQ adults in the New York Tri-state area, with direct emphasis on Trans/GNC people of color.

The vinyl release, designed by Boot Boyz Biz, includes a poster featuring these words from Russell:

What are my dreams when they are spoken into real space? Are they statements centering my desires? Are they indictments to hold myself accountable to my vision of life?

My consciousness is meandering and at times I celebrate this drone of words. Stripped of meaning, to reveal what’s beneath. Not an answer, but further questions. The purpose of the mantra is to quiet the conscious mind until the spirit takes over.

Place is important. It grounds the abstract in our humanity. These things came from somewhere. Many places. To culminate into one. Connecting them all. And creating something entirely new. Not an answer, but more questions.

Since dawn had broken, the man had been sat in his armchair with the phone at his side. He'd hardly moved all day, barely tearing his gaze away from the receiver. He feared that if he left for even one minute, he might miss the call. He drummed his fingers on the table beside him until they started to become callous and hard. He knew he was in for a long wait...

Leeds-based DJ and producer Skins has become synonymous with celestial, dubbed-out soundscapes, showcased on his two self-released hand stamped white labels, SKINS001 and 002. Having taken a couple of years hiatus from the releases, he now returns with the third instalment, two originals and a drum tool that flaunt his knack for crafting weightless dub techno and crisp breaks and percussion.

All proceeds from the sale of the record will be donated to organisations supporting Black people and efforts to end systemic racism, injustice and police brutality. Each of the records comes with an A4 artwork print and a letter to the purchaser.

PREMIERE: Skins - The Long Wait

Leaves lose their effervescence, stroking the strings of the ground as they bring us into the colder months. Such is the sound that resonates out of Chris SSG, our next guest from Japan. A master of mesmerizing, emotive passages, he is known for his careful consideration, patient execution, and sublime selections. As co-founder of the now-defunct MNML SSGS blog and event series and a resident at the semi-regular Sound Garden chill out parties, he has spread his infectious love for boundless forms of music far and wide, reaching audiences across the globe. After hearing his acclaimed mixes for podcasts such as Electronic Exploration and Mysteries of the Deep, we are ecstatic to have him contribute to UNRUSH. So grab a blanket, some tea, and watch the eternal processes of decay and rebirth unfold before you with this very special session from Chris SSG.
