88 years ago, Kentucky experienced a record-breaking flood that heavily impacted portions of the state. The Flood of 1937, now known as the “Great Flood” submerged over 70% of Louisville alone. 

During the disaster, the local government was worried about the spread of disease and created a quarantine barrier. To help with aid, individuals like Lt. Col. Joseph R. Gray were allowed to pass through this line in Louisville. 

After the damage, and loss of life, many places near rivers constructed flood walls and pumping stations to mitigate the impact of future disasters.

Even at the stage of preparing us for vaccination, it was clear and obvious to me, like to many others, that everything that was happening around was more like a theater with a tragicomedy performance. It was in this mood that I came across such a humorous story on the Internet, which I voiced. At that time, for criticizing this terrible disease and the miraculous vaccine, you could lose your YouTube channel. Ryck from Berne, Switzerland plays different styles of D&B Jungle since '97, co-hosted the monthly D&B radioshow "RaBass 95.6 FM" from 2005 to 2018, co-launched the monthly https://soundcloud.com/bern-bass-podcast -series of episodes in 2014 and co-promoted the Liquid Session D&B-Eventseries at Dachstock Reitschule Berne until its demise in 2024. After co-releasing tracks with Konfront.Audio and FD on Soul Deep and Sunandbass Recordings, he launched the now dormant label https://bernbassrecords.bandcamp.com in 2020 that so far had three Bandcamp-only releases featuring Swiss artists exclusively. 
After playing at major events and venues all over Switzerland such as Mute, Bierhübeli or Rohstofflager, with highlights such as going b2b with LTJ Bukem in Basel or being featured in a Swiss D&B documentary, today Ryck is a regular DJ at DARKSIDE Berne, HOTBOX Zürich and VIVID Basel.
