They call to him, urging him to see beyond the veil of reality, to understand the great pattern hidden within the chaos of the world. His friends stopped calling weeks ago. His job has long since slipped through his fingers, the concept of time a meaningless cycle that no longer applies to him. He scribbles feverishly in a battered notebook, ink bleeding through page after page, constructing the doctrine of Schroit—the truth that has been revealed to him alone. Schroit is the only way forward, the new faith that will shatter the chains of false gods and fabricated morals.
