Musician and producer J Bowman began his music career in Chicago. He relocated to the Bay Area in California to write and record with Sandy Pearlman (The Clash, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult). Soon after, he was in the studio working with the likes of Chris Isaak , Tupac, George Clinton, Pink, Sly & Robbie, Don Was, The Hieroglyphics, Fatboy Slim, Hardkiss, Melle Mel, Paula Cole, Cake, Souls Of Mischief, Aceyalone, Miguel Miggs, and Mike Posner, among many others. 
Bowman is also production partner and co-writer to Michael Franti (Spearhead), performing on the road and collaborating in the studio. When not touring the world, he’s found time to produce and write music for a number of movie, TV, and multimedia projects, including movies Valentines Day(Ashton Kutcher,Jessica Alba), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer) and Cutlass (Kate Hudson and Dakota Fanning). He has also composed music for TV commercials, including Tylenol, SlimFast, Napster and Al Gore’s Current TV and Amazon.
