In honour of and especially mixed for the most passionate group of trance festival goers I’ve ever witnessed I threw together a compilation of rare and classic Goldenscan tracks, remixes and productions.

There are some classics that people will know, some unreleased productions that we still like despite never giving them any air, as well as some remixes that for various reasons we were proud of at the time. 

Goldenscan actually only released 4 tracks, all gaining some popularity at the time - 14-18 years ago EEEK!!! - We were proud to have a pretty high shit filter which served us well critically but also meant we weren’t as prolific as we could have been. After all these years however, having listened to a load of our stuff for the first time in years, there are some good production moments that perhaps we should have finished/polished/released.

A lot of this stuff isn’t perfect but i think it captures a time in Trance when things were a bit more experimental, a bit more ‘anything goes’. Or maybe that’s just my opinion.

Anyway for what it’s worth, here it is, warts and all. Enjoy, don’t, like some, like one, or none... just don’t troll me 🤣

Oh and all mixed on a plane on an iPad with vodka fingers so excuse some of the mixes 🤪🤪.

Subculture Autumn 2020 mix

My musical journey started back in the late 90's, i was flat out into trance, spinning vinyl and burning up the wheels of steel. I spent my mid to late twenties in London when funky house music was alive and thumping. I got to play at some wicked bars and sweat dripping house parties with some incredible people. Now days, it's spinning tunes across multiple genres. Whilst trance is still right up there, I've spread my wings into progressive trance, tech house, techno, jive / disco / funky / groove / progressive house.  Love a dark dirty solid bass beat ranging between 120bpm through to 145bpm. That's the sweet spot 🤙Now living in New Zealand and always up for a gig with like minded people!
