Our 13th show takes on a slightly different format this week following the tragic news that Michel Baumann passed away last month. The producer and DJ was often found under his Soulphiction and Jackmate alias and produced plenty of unique and wonderfully crafted deep & soulful house. He will be sorely missed and the opening section of the show is dedicated to his work. 

The Bandcamp Beat kicks off our section of the show with a release from Jacques Renault and his Schatzi Edits series. Our recommended releases sees plenty of variety this week with Nu and Future disco for starters and a main course of disco house to finish! 

The Brooklyn label Razor-N-Tape are highlighted in the label focus, most notably the white label edits portion of their catalogue. Keep your eye out for the Label Focus expansion into a full length mix series coming next week. 

Featured exclusively on wax we see a brand new label launched last month in Norwich. I Travel To You Records have recently released a 4 track edits package and we feature the super slick sundrenched Latin jam Por Amor from the label. 

And to top all this off we welcome along a guest mixer who is one of the biggest names in music right now. Young Pulse is a producer, mix engineer & record label boss from Paris. After co-founding Mochi Records in 2019 he now heads up The Funky French League with other producers, artists and musicians. Their debut release 'Love Will Bring It' EP showcases their quality and has now received a full remix package from other world renowned producers. His knowledge around the disco & boogie scene is unrivalled and his guest mix showcases both new & old records including some of his labels own productions. We know you are going to love this one!

Pookie Knights stormed the New Year in for Black Light Disco's show on MyHouse Radio airing on 4th Jan 2021. 

For the first hour, it's straight up vinyl - analogue heaven from the lads who know exactly what they're doing on the turntables. For the second hour, they put the pedal to the metal with a parade of non-stop disco bangers  - aided by a liberal sprinkling of some acid tones in there for those in the know.
