It’s WEEK 26 of The Disco Waltons Mix Sessions, and this week were living it large with multi-talented  Tobie C (Tobie Craddock ) A proper Chorley OG, Tobie’s been grafting on the decks since the late 90s Huddersfield and Leeds before bagging the iDJ Magazine Raw Talent Winner title in 2005. Since then, he’s been slinging beats supporting the scene.
 With gigs coming up alongside legends Marshall Jefferson DJ Pierre, Justin Robertson, Full Intention, Graeme Park, Opolopo, DJ Spen, CJ Mackintosh, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Dave Lee, Grant Nelson, John Morales, Natasha Kitty Katt,  Supernature Disco, 
 Tobie’s a resident of Manchester’s finest disco brand – EDIT Presents – repping with the crew Grant Holmes, Jaegerossa & FAZ, dropping heavyweight grooves since 2012. EDIT is a proper Northern powerhouse — quality tunes, good people, and those nights that make you forget your troubles and your train home. This episode of the Black Light Disco show is dedicated to the life, music and memory of our good friend Stephen Richards, who sadly passed away on 8th November 2025. 

So much has been written and said about Stephen since the tragic news broke - so many individual stories of how he connected people and gave a platform to a host of producers, artists and DJs out there who otherwise may not have had their voices heard or their talent recognised. BRIAK MIXTAPE #NOV25

This was my first one for a little while - personal and technological issues have been getting in the way once again. So it felt good to be back on for a full two hour mix! Started with a small tribute to the legend Jimmy Cliff, as the news of his passing broke a few hours before. Then into some moody and deep vibes for a while until I switched things up, we went to Africa for a while, slowed things down for some future funk, then cranked matters back up for some disco house stompers and a cheeky demo from myself. It’s good to be back!

Ep 279: Feel Good Friday Show (feat Royal Funk) - Remix and Edit Special

On this weeks Disco Walton's Mix series we are honouring our dear friend Stephen Richards who sadly passed away last week. Without a doubt without Stephen's influence none of us would have ever met, his Disco Daze show on a friday night was a staple in the diary where like minded folk would gather on a friday night to listen to the cutting edge music he had curated for his show, the banter and gifs would flow in the chat room and it was always the perfect start to the weekend. He was a fantastic producer and DJ who helped to shape the NuDisco scene and more importantly he was a great friend, the support he gave to many was both invaluable and was given selflessly.
So for tonight's show it was important to us to pay our respects to the great man, so we went into the vaults and we will again air the mix he did for us back in 2023, so In hour 1 we have the man himself with a superb deep, chugger of a mix and then he is followed in hour 2 by his close friend Esteban with an energetic peak time party belter, it really is an amazing 2 hour show.

The Black Light Disco Show returns with  another essential session of Monday-busting vibes and good music. 

This week it’s the turn of our super cool residents Pookie Knights, who have put together a show in tribute to the music and influence of Stephen Richards, who was sadly taken from us in November. Stephen was instrumental in bringing all of us at Black Light Disco together, with his show Disco Daze acting as the connective tissue we all shared. Pookie Knights have  a long association with the show, being one of the first artists to feature a guest mix on DiscoDaze way back in June 2018 and then seeing several of their releases previewed on air.  The boys’ show features some of their favourite Stephen Richards tracks and a re-run of their DiscoDaze guest mix from 9th April 2021.
