Track 4 in "Etats d'âme" (2022) by Alex M: composed, played, arranged, edited and recorded by Alex M in GarageBand iOS and Logic Pro X, 12 March 2021 (late evening), and mixed in Logic Pro X, 15 March 2021 (late evening); posted on SoundCloud on 16 March 2021 (before the release of the album as a whole). The album artwork cover, also used as the cover of each constituent track, was created in Tayasui Sketches on 4 February 2021, edited and annotated in Paint and saved in its final form on 6 February 2021.

End My Days (album version)

I took this picture on a cold winter night in New England. It struck me that the warmth of the light was quite inviting but the scene was a metaphor for what's going on broadly with political division and virus lockdowns. We just need to get through this and be drawn to the light.

Written in Feb 2021 on piano. I think it has a 70s sound to it almost like a Dan Fogelberg tune. Performed with a Takamine acoustic guitar, Baldwin grand piano, Fender Jazz bass, Yamaha Motif6, and Liam Buttrick on acoustic drums.
