Here’s the set I made for my 9th year playing in the Fractal Forest at Shambhala Music Festival. This year has been a crazy adventure of non-stop touring around the world, but Shambhala is always the most important set for me. 

Special thanks to Blackout JA for helping me to create the “Oh Shambhala” song and his other contributions, as well as my amazingly talented friends who send me such great music, stems and acapellas to play with. Without the forward thinking creative music community, I wouldn’t be able to make sets like this. Everything is edited and changed for my own purposes, the tracklist contains all the major elements of the set.

Stickybuds - Fractal Forest Mix - Shambhala 2013

Lets go back in time together to 1996!!! 2 turntables, mojave desert full moon madness. There's certainly some wonky mixes in here, but its such a trip down memory lane I had to share. The sound quality of the recording is suspect, I tried to improve it a bit but it is what it is....CLASSIC and 18 years old! WOW is RIGHT!

"Ka mate, ka ora" is a famous phrase from the Māori haka "Ka Mate". It translates to "I die, I die, I live, I live". The phrase encapsulates the central theme of the haka, which is about triumphing over death and adversity.

Many thanks to Eric Harris and Jason Kovac for giving me the opportunity to play a 4 hour set last Saturday night on opening weekend for Crowbar Boise.

Longer sets allow the artist to fully explore multiple styles and get into a flow not possible in the typical hour or hour and a half time frame :)

This got me to thinking to when the last time I played such a long set was, and it think it's all the way back to 2006 when I played 4 hours in Saratov, Russia (also first club I played on Funktion One), and 9 hours at the Shasta Gathering (my longest sets ever were here after starting a marathon tradition the first year I played unexpectedly into the morning).

BIG GUY little guy (aka Anton Tumas and Treavor Moontribe)live at Subtract On The Pier is over 4 hours of deep electronica bliss!!! This set was played to set up the incredible DJs Sabo and Goldcap on a day that ended up being the most packed show on the Long Beach Pier to date! These events present a unique opportunity for this duo to showcase their vast range of musicality by playing deep ambient and building up from downtempo to mid tempo deep house and tribal sounds. This set is downright sexy and is one to close your eyes to and get lost in atmospheric soundscapes! Enjoy!

Here is my set from the Integral Transitions Grass Moon Celebration last weekend.  The party was a warehouse rager, we had Adnan's going away party in the same space the night before so I spent most of the weekend in this place.  Good thing it was such a nice spot!  Great job on the production too, looked super nice in there!  I'm sure people are looking forward to the next Transitions event!

I had a really fun crowd for my set, thanks to Synchronometry for having me at this one!

An absolutely amazing event in it's 9th year, you can tell Esthetic Evolution is a muture festival by the sheer number of things going on there.  3 sound domes operating only at night and into the sunrise:  one low-tempo, one chill In the center), and one 4/4.  I played in the 4/4 of course!  During the day music is handled by different sound camps while the main systems rest - I think there were 4 of them.  In the chill dome during the day there was an awesome dance workshop which was really great and different.  

Other highlights were a huge glowing dinosaur (Brontosaurus?) roaming over to the techno dome and practically getting his head inside, flame controllers operable from behind the dj booth (you can see the torches on the sides the dome) and the 1500 fun people who we shared space with us there.  

One of my favorite events I've played at, I think you will like this bumping TECHNO adventure :)  Thanks much to Devin for bringing me, I know you love techno so this set was for you!  And thanks to everyone else who helped put this together, I know it's a huge amount of people working together to make something special like this happen!  Mission accomplished!
