This week’s hot mix comes from Ashley Wild, the London-based artist who’s been cultivating his own community for the last few years via the always excellent YouAreWe parties and his own distinct brand of deep, clubby house music with an emotive tint. Ashley’s mix is an absolute peach, so make sure you hit the play button right away, you’ll be blasting it out for days!

Ashley’s musical background stems from his family, with a firm grounding in folk music would you believe?! The emotional depth of folk certainly comes through in his tunes, and his skills as a musician are clear in everything he turns his hand to – whether it be DJ sets or his studio productions. As one of the founding members of YouAreWe, a Sunday party that popped up way before Sundays were deemed to be ‘cool’, he helped set the standard for end of the weekend raving and has now set up a label connected to the party brand to further explore his love of music.

We scored an insightful interview with Ashley recently and will be publishing it very soon, so keep your eyes on the site for that – it’s a great one indeed. Hello there!! First I would like to thank you for all the support you’ve been giving me over the last 3 years! I feel blessed that I am able to play so many shows all over the world. All these happy faces in front of me gives me chills every time! Second, thank you for all the support through all of your messages! It is heart warming to read your stories what my music makes you feel or go through.

Finally……..here is my new podcast for all of you. I got inspired on my trip to Morocco with the Voyaj crew, after sitting on a camel in the Sahara, sleeping in a tent and wake up for sunrise. The world is such a magic place. Being in the desert, hardly hearing noises except for the rushing wind. And then the day after I was playing in Rabat on a pirate ship! Who expects that? So much fun again!

Something else which has been on my mind and heart the last weeks. Many people in this world want changes in their lives. Sometimes they even forget that respect for yourself and the people around you is a very important thing, at least it is to me. We should have respect for women, men, mexicans, gays….you know where I am going right? ;-) Please know that every individual can change this world. So take responsibility for your own life and of those around you. How expensive is it to just smile and be kind to yourself and others? A smile can do a lot…..please smile a little more. It makes a change.

German born and native Brian Laruso is steadily forging his reputation as DJ, producer and artist with an exceptional taste to detail, integrity and execution. Currently based in Ibiza Spain his unique musical visions create special dance floor moments, whether it’s through his DJ sets that take audiences on a real journey or through his weekly radio shows and playlists.
Not one for trends or music fashions Brian Laruso’s understanding of music and people is key in all his sets. Building an increasing and loyal fanbase Laruso is well versed in the art of entertaining the more discerning dance music scene. Layering sounds to help set the mood for long journeys in sets that explore the depths and boundaries of creativity.
Having already featured on the likes of Magic Islands and Black Hole Recordings, Laruso’s growth reached greater levels. If you would pick one track that stands out, you wouldn’t go around his impeccable collaboration with Roger Shah called ‘Higher Than The Sun’ featuring the talented JES on Black Hole Recordings.
In 2005 he formed a project called Global Experience with his friend Roger Shah. Overall Laruso has reached nearly 2 Million streams on Spotify and is constantly growing.
