"Going Home" 

A little demo song I made and played this weekend.. still subject to some changes maybe. This was played using my old Korg SGProX as a master controller. The main keyboard sound comes from Yamaha Montage 8 synthesizer (original TX816 Electric Piano FM sound converted into Montage format), layered with Keyscape (MKS-20 sound). The main lead sounds come from Arturia Jun-6V (Juno-6) and UVI CS-M (CS80), and the bass is Arturia Mini V (Minimoog), layered with UVI Ultramini. The drums come from Native Instruments Abbey Road 80s Drummer. 

Recorded and mixed in Cubase with some significant help from iZotope Neutron. Mastered with Ozone 11.

Live Reflexion#021

It starts as a whisper. A hum in the chest, a doubt clinging to every step. The compass needle, once reliable and steady, begins to tremble. It no longer points the way—only an endless dance between north and nowhere.

I stand still. Feel the wind against my skin, hear the world calling out to me. But each step feels heavier now. It’s as if the ground beneath me is slowly dissolving, and every choice feels as wrong as it does right.

In this void, where silence echoes louder than the noise of my thoughts, a realization begins to dawn. Perhaps it’s not the compass that fails, but me, who no longer dares to follow it. And if direction fades, what remains?

Maybe it’s in the uncertainty, in the act of losing myself, that I will finally be found.

Echoes of a Life (Piano)

NEVER pronounce something a Symphony movement unless you have thought about it for at least six months (which I did not do). I have been reading a book by Rimsky Korsakov (again) about composition for strings. Hopefully some of what he wrote is beginning to sink in. It took me 1,161 other works before I attempted my first symphony movement...though in fact, I did not set out to try and make a symphony movement. It would be more accurate to say that it made itself, when my careless languorous muse was good and ready. I shall now engage in Symphony pronouncement regret syndrome, until I come to my senses and rename the piece.
