The Mediterranean is the largest mass grave on the planet. Migrant deaths and shipwrecks in the Central Mediterranean have multiplied.

The protagonist of the symbolic photograph of the embrace between a Red Cross volunteer and a migrant on the Tarajal beach (Ceuta, Spain), is called Abdou and is 27 years old.

Skopós is ancient Greek for 'watcher' as in 'autoscopy' or seeing oneself from a separate view point (doppleganger/out of body experience). I once had a brief out of body experience in a near-sleep state. It was quite something. I swam out of my body and looked down upon myself from the ceiling. Afterwards I went downstairs and told my family then we had lunch as if nothing had happened.
