In the night the snow came whirling -  Icy flakes from the skies above

Catching me in it,s blanket deep  -Covering making a bed to sleep

Luring me into those arms curling  -Soft fresh and pure as the heaven,s love

SUMMER ISLES

When I climbed on Ben More Coigach
All those many years ago
The Summer Isles lay out below me
Each one different to behold
And the memory,s stayed inside me
The glistening sea and in its fold
This family of islands 
Yet each one is on its own

O Summer Isles could I forget you
Once my eyes have seen you so
You were here so long before me
You,ll be here when I grow cold

Wester Ross a land of beauty
Both my brothers climbed your hills
I followed soon behind them
Then our wives joined jacks with jills
Now they,re gone I am bereft and yet
Their memory warms me still
And each summer isle reminds me
Of each special role they filled

Isle Ristol tis the big one
Tanera Mor is bigger still
Mainland mountains stretch before you
When you climb upon its hill
Tanera Beg the smaller brother
Eilean Dubh where seas run deep         
So the big ships safely sail pass
This dark isle,s a bonny lass

Carn Deas,Meall Nan Gabhar         
Sgeir Revan and Glas Leac Mor  
All those skerries cairns and islets                                     
Welcome neighbours next to shore
They remind me of the folk I've known
Who fill my life no more
Yet each and ev’ry Summer Isle
Will go on for evermore
