This song appeared up one day when I already had plans to move a bunch of stuff into storage. I had borrowed a friends truck to get the job done so I couldn't blow off my errand and spend the day with my guitar composing the song. The idea wouldn't leave me be, so I recorded the melody on my iphone and brought along a pad of paper and some pens. I would scribble lyrics out onto the paper at stop lights and I found myself pulling over to write down more lyrics as they came to me.

By the end of the day the whole song was written and once I got home I picked up my guitar and found the chords to accompany the melody. It felt really good to play and sing which is always the sign of a decent song. I'm really proud of this one. It's essentially a dream-like reverie about the simple summer days of my youth. I hope you enjoy it.
