‘Let You Go’ is a song I wrote about saying goodbye, about letting a loved one go, about moving on. It originated in April last year after playing a show in Tokyo, the love/energy from the Japanese fans was quite overwhelming, in a positive way. I was pretty hyped after the show, and very jetlagged, so I couldn’t sleep at all. I ended up meditating, but instead of cooling down from that, it got me in kind of an ecstatic yet also melancholic mood. Right after that in the shower I started riffing melodies in my head, kind of inspired by one of my all-time favorite trance tracks Chicane ‘Saltwater’, and in the end one of the melodies I came up with really stuck with me, so I recorded a voice note in my phone and the next day I turned it into the first version, the instrumental track, of ‘Let You Go’, but titled ‘Tokyo Shower Trance’ at that moment. A few months later after playing a HI-LO show in Chile, while traveling to Lima, Peru, I came up with the lyrics for the song and a few days later I recorded them in Vancouver in my hotel room, singing them into my phone. I re-recorded the vocals when I got back in Amsterdam again, and after a lot of altering and adding vocoders/synths, it quickly became one of my personal favorite songs that I’ve done in the last couple of years. Kurai Onrum Illai (Tamil: குறை ஒன்றும் இல்லை, (Meaning No grievances) is a Tamil devotional song written by C. Rajagopalachari. The song set in Carnatic music was written in gratitude to Hindu God (Venkateswara and Krishna visualized as one) and compassionate mother.

Kurai Onrum Illai is one of the few songs written by Indian politician, freedom-fighter and Governor-General of India, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari. According to Gopalkrishna Gandhi the song is an euphemism for the bhakti of untouchables (also known as Adi Dravidars or Harijans or Panchama).

The song was sung by M. S. Subbulakshmi in the Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Pancharatna Mala LP-2 (Long Play Record) (1979/80). This song is unique because it does not assume the tone of devoted prayer as most Hindu devotional songs but one of thankfulness to God. The song comprises 3 stanzas each set in three different ragas.
Kurai Ondrum Illai is a very popular song in South India and is a regular in most Carnatic concerts. It became very famous after it was sung by M. S. Subbulakshmi.

Brian Vee is a music producer and DJ based in Bristol, UK.
Brian Vee’s background is in producing techno and DJ’ing Techno, House and Trance.

As a DJ Brian Vee has played at Ministry of Sound, London; Slinky & Godskitchen, Birmingham and various Bristol venues before taking a break from DJ’ing to focus on Music Production.

In 2021 Brian launched “project Brian Vee” and since then he now has 14 releases and more in the pipeline.  
Brian Vee has also started playing out again with his first appearance at Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts in 2022, opening the Gas Tower for Shangri La, then invited back to do the same returning to Glastonbury in June 2023.

From a very early age Brian was inspired by hiphop and DMC scratch scene and you will often hear this inspiration come through in his DJ sets and mixes.  Later inspired by early Perfecto, Paul Oakenfold, Cosmic Boys, Prodigy and classic 80’s acts such as Gary Newman and Frankie Goes to Hollywood; Vee has created a unique stripped down fusion of acid techno, and trance that you are sure to love, music that evokes memories of the classic age of rave whilst sounding strictly 2024.
