Brian Burnside (Deepa Grooves)

Currently residing in Los Angeles by way of NYC – Brian Burnside, simply knows house music. Brian is the co-founder of the record label Deepa Grooves. In addition to those running the label, Brian is also a producer, graphic designer, DJ and hell, whatever else you can be.

Brian has been a staple of the New York music community for some time. We've had the pleasure of catching Brian at numerous local music institutions - whether it's 718 Sessions or Shelter with Timmy Regisford or Roots at Cielo - you are guaranteed a true music experience.

We haven’t made it out to LA yet, but are happy to see that the left coasters are realizing what they have. In recent weeks, Brian has played with Alix Alvarez, Lars Behrenroth, Nef Nunez and loads more heavyweights. It won't be long until they realize what so many people here in NYC know; that Brian is as genuine as they get.

Born & raised in Brooklyn NY, Brian is the co-founder, producer, DJ and graphic designer of the record label deepa GROOOVES. Every facet of his life has been devoted to the feeling, attitude and deep mentality of house music culture. 

As a DJ, Brian's mix of soulful highs and deep-tech thumps can bring a crowd to near-rapture while maintaining tight rhythms and perfect harmonies. Burnside has deejayed at some of the most well-known parties in NYC and has been infecting the West Coast as well. 

The Deepa production team has released pure dance floor dynamite with remixers including Quentin Harris, Atjazz, Charles Webster, Abicah soul Jay-J, Scott Wozniak and fish go deep. As well as his own touches of deep tech house mixes. Brian has also collaborated on remixes for other record labels such as Liberate Recordings , Open Bar Music & Anthem Facility/Trace.

Out west, Brian has joined forces with Alix Alvarez, David Harness, Gene Hunt, Lars Behrenroth, Eric Tucker, West Coast Soul Events, Soul Camp/Sf, After After With Jayvi Valesco, & Mars Bar. Brian burnside recently teamed up with DJ/producer Nef Nunez and started a bi-monthly residency at the Cardiff lounge called 4loorplan in San Jose, Ca.
