John Digweeds Bedrock label kicks off 2012 with yet another superb release from one of the standout electronic artists in the world today. Guy J is at the forefront of a movement towards the melody-rich and emotionally charged roots of the house music spectrum. Hes a young, innovative producer, DJ and live act, whose infectious production talents resulted in his amazing 3CD artist album (1000 Words) being acclaimed as one of the musical highlights of 2011. Now, three of the albums standout tracks have been remixed alongside a brand new track, to form the hottest package you could hope for to start the year in style.

Shining showcases the extraordinary talents of Guy J, from its beautifully subtle melodic intro, through a blossoming, journey-like arrangement with a highly emotive core, this is a masterful brand new track.

On 1000 Words as the mood moves towards deep, throbbing intensity, with lights down low, My Thought Of You turns up the energy levels and gets a little twisted, as Guy J pushes emotion buttons, exploring the psyche of the dance, exploring possibilities, forging ahead into the future. Which is a perfect starting point for Octopus label boss and Bedrock artist, Sian, to begin his audio experimentation on remix duty.

When you have interests ranging from cosmology and marine biology, to the social impact of the rave generation, you tend to make unusual art and Sian stands out as a little more bohemian than the average electronic talent. Adhering more to the avant-garde side of club culture, his tracks develop an otherworldly, and hypnotic slant on techno. His reworking of My Thought Of You is yet another exceptional example of creative genius at work.

The gorgeous, heavenly vocals of Miriam Vaga feature on 3 tracks on 1000 Words with Fly providing a stunning finale to CD1, an amazing collection of the more eclectic and experimental side of Guy Js music. The original version can only be described as a listening experience that has been heaven sent, so there was only one possible choice to remix such beauty.

Since they first burst onto the scene with the now classic album Wide Angle in 1999, Hybrid have been known as one of the most forward thinking and technically skilled acts in electronic dance music. Before hotfooting it over to Hollywood to work on the soundtrack for the new Terminator movie, they have made time to work their magic on Fly, and remixes dont come much bigger than this!

The heavenly atmospherics of Detroit techno bring 1000 Words to a close with the moody magnificence of Azimuth, which has been boldly taken into a new dimension by Bedrock remix competition winner, Kassey Voorn, from Athens, Greece.

November 2018's "Life on the Moon" confirmed Juan Deminicis' status in the upper echelons of the underground dance scene. Remixes from Argentina and Europe now continue the journey on Particles.

Lucas Rossi has been an impressive contributor to Argentina's underground dance scene for almost a decade. From his Cordoba home, a residency at "Bianca Espacio Electronica" saw impressive performances with Darin Epsilon, Matias Chilano and Deminicis himself, while gigs across South America have seen him perform on the same bill as Jimmy Van M, Dave Seaman and Eelke Klein. A production career that has seen over a century of credits hit a stream of high-profile imprints after a 2014 debut for Suffused Music, has since found Rossi's work on the likes of Songbird and Balkan Connection, while a further notable highlight was an appearance on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden with the "Adversities" EP in May 2018.

A pair of Particles remixes for Lanvary in October 2017 and Kynan Cosma in September 2018 are now joined by a third as Lucas Rossi delivers a compelling rework. Paying tribute to Deminicis' track, the refrains of the original create a familiar framework before the melodic phrasing so central to "Life on the Moon" cleverly lifts itself out of the rhythmic groove. A strong beat, white-noise washes and airy pads create extra depth in a strong remix.

Striving to be an "original and unique artist, with his own style of music", Filip Abramczyk has been a standout performer in Poland's underground dance scene. Through his Pysh moniker, the Warsaw resident hit the headlines after winning a remix competition for Booka Shade's "Regenerate" and going on to perform regularly across Poland and Europe alongside Robert Babicz, Kolombo and Josh Wink. This springboard for success has led to over 250 production credits sitting proudly next to the Pysh name with an album and vinyl release for Einmusika high on a list of achievements. A regular for the label, other work has seen him featured on such heavyweights as Get Physical, Manjumasi and Steyoyoke.

A spirited Particles debut remixing Rudy UK in June 2018 quickly saw the release of the five-track, "Ballada" some three months later, as remixes from Matias Chilano and Christian Hornbostel added to a trio of impressive original tracks. Now returning, the Pysh remix of "Tao the King" takes the pulsating bassline of the original and uses it form the basis of a rhythmic groove foundation that anchors the tracks against a collage of panned shakers and closed hats. Building with consummate ease a chorus of melodies firmly rooted in the original make their presence felt at the breakdown. With clever production technique and a swathe of original production material Pysh has created a unique and impressive remix.

Remixes from Lucas Rossi and Pysh have continued to showcase "Life on the Moon" for Juan Deminicis.

His collaboration with fellow countryman Zalvador promises and strengthens the progressive imprint.


The energy levels with a thumping groove makes ‘Zaniah’ headlines of the EP. Combination of atmospheric pads and evolving hypnotic arpeggios creates contrast in the masterpiece. ‘Messier’ & ‘Crystal Cave’ completes the 24 Min EP. Serendeep continues now build on that momentum for the Sri Lankan imprint.
