We are a modern archive service and private micro record label that releases small quantity runs of lathe cut records. All the audio that's posted to this page is recorded from the playback of lathe cut records, and should serve to be an example of our LCR quality.
The operation is ran by Jack Kilby an industrial designer who has a passion for preservation and records. By day he works as a digital archivist, recording 78 rpm records for the Indiana University music library. By night he spends his time cutting records on various formats. Some records are cut for hire and some are cut for fun but i consider all of the music I capture Modern Folk. Jack blathers on to say that he treats the music he is cutting like the music he is archiving.
