I found an old iPod a couple of days ago and on top of a ton of old mixes and tracks I found this set I put together for the @balearicsocial crew up in Leeds in 2012. That's 13 years ago! I don't think this one's online anymore, so here it is once again, freshly transferred from the depths of arcane technology. 

It goes all over the place: Ambient, tribal, soul, downtempo, left-field, kosmiche, jazz and into very loose territory! I really enjoyed hearing these records again, and I hope you dig it too. Big shout to Andy Pye and all the Yorkshire Balearic ultras!

Ryan Bishop is behind one of the most creative and consistent multi-modal musical platforms out there. Dream Chimney (which hardly needs introducing), was certainly a big inspiration for 5918mins. and we are very happy to have him onboard. 

DJing himself under the name "The Beat Broker", Ryan developed a propensity towards Balearic sounds, which seemed to fit perfectly with the current time of the year. We are also very impressed by Ryan's consistency in digging and playing high-quality newer releases (which only makes sense if one one is interested in the musical, rather than the collectable worth of records).
