In every country lockdowns are progressively lifting but it seems that we still have to stay at home a bit longer, its still uncertain for our club scene.

Times are strange. We all have to push ourselves forward digitally in order to maintain a "Social DJ Life," which reveals how our social image and music are intrinsically connected; the status of a DJ becomes instantly meaningless without actual people gathering and communing through music.

With the overflowing amount of information, it is sometimes easy to get lost in an endless consumption of content.

I am of course, also part of this social media game, and thought a bit about what I wanted to present within these messy times, I decided to compile a mix of birds singing to help relaxation.

Now that cities are running at idle speed, nature is slowly coming back through unexpected forms:
 
Butterflies can live their life without getting hit by a car, plants are retaking what is theirs and birds fly and parade in front of us, not nagging us but just beautifully expressing their freedom.

This mix idealises my dream journey in nature after lockdown, with all its phases, from apprehension to hope.

I hope you, like me, enjoy the original singers of this world.

This includes a recording I made at the botanical garden of Melbourne when I toured Australia in May 2018.

A mix of various birds talking to me

For the seventh relase of the Worst collection, our infamous A Strange Wedding takes a deep turn on the great unknown.

Keeping in mind the « ritual » and « cosmic » adjectives often associated with his music, he built a mystical artifact fallen from the skies, quite litterally indeed. « Black Magic Rituals » is a wizzard's book full of smart spells to open the space and time continuum. Whether it is made of shimmering stratospheric soundscapes or built in between constellations of the inner world, A Strange Wedding goes beyond his own forms to explore half-step industrial leftfield dub as well as mental-driven deep techno in the style of italian masters. Oscillating from far distances to intimate odes to infinity, this crystal maze of sharp music stands as a usefull toolbox for total mind liberation, and marks a step even forward into's A Strange Wedding sonic journey.

Prenant à la lettre les adjectifs « rituel » et « cosmique » qui sont souvent associés à sa musique, il sculpte ici un artefact mystique tombé des cieux. Littéralement. « Black Magic Rituals » est un grimoire de magicien gorgé de sorts ouvrant autant de brèches dans l'espace-temps. Qu'ils consistent en des paysages sonores scintillants ou qu'ils soient tendus entre les constellations de mondes internes, A Strange Wedding s'aventure ici dans les franges liminaires de ses formes musicales fétiches, d'une leftfield dub industrialisante à une deep-techno dans le style très mental des maîtres italiens. Oscillant entre des dimensions lointaines et des odes à l'infini de l'intime, ce labyrinthe cristallin s'ouvre comme une boîte à outils pensée pour la libération totale de l'âme, et marque un pas décisif dans le voyage musical de A Strange Wedding.

This week, we welcome Saint-Étienne-based DJ and producer Jacques Satre. This talented producer is one of the driving forces in his local scene and enjoys releases on Worst Records, Metaphore Industrie, Vernacular Records and others. Running at almost 90 minutes, he starts off his extended selection with cleansing and lush sounds that build-up to rhythmic and percussive tracks that transition to electro-infused EBM, house, techno, acid, and more. We love storytelling in selections and couldn't be happier with this release. Lock in.
