Hailing from Leeds U.K Michael Connolly AKA (Dark Matter) found his interest in DJ’ing back in 2014, mastering the basics very quickly he as thrown in at the deep end playing his first gig a few months later at the Leeds Arts Festival in the city centre. Since then he has gone on to play at some of the city’s most vibrant venues including The Mint Club, Mint Warehouse, The Wire Club and The Warehouse Leeds to name a few.

As a quick learner (Dark Matter) took the next step into production, highly influenced by the techno scenes of Berlin and Amsterdam, September 2015 saw his debut track (Get Trippy, From his Alias Trixx) signed to (Subwoofer Records) as part of their ADE Album.

Following this (Dark Matter) released his debut 4 track EP (From within) and was given a full release with the same label.

"Most of the people that used to be relevant are not any more. Times
change. This is a business. You have to keep relevant, because
there's always some kid in his bedroom making ridiculous records!
All the heroes that I grew up with are just not relevant right now
because they're not willing to change with the times.
