"The Last Days of Dark" featuring "Unpatrotic" 

The Last Days Of Dark is a 12-song album brimming with rugged beats, sensual hooks, organic touches of piano and guitar, barbed rhymes, bold sentimentality, and irresistible melodies. Each track will be paired with a video unpacking the song’s message with poetic cinematography and captivating narratives. Select album highlights include “The Future,” “They Gon’ Call Me (Unpatriotic),” and the deeply personal “E.L.S.I.E.”  

“The Future” is classic banger conjuring the militancy of Public Enemy, where ominous guitars and moody soundscapes are the backdrop for Timothy's sinister flow. The song’s accompanying video is a harrowing mini epic, written by Timothy and shot by Sean Tracy that shows our country’s future as a Trump-ian dystopia with severe martial law overtones.  “They Gon’ Call Me (Unpatriotic)” is a fist-in-the-air urban anthem that stirs ups emotions with a message of galvanizing unity. The track fuses a fiery verse with majestic hooks. “E.L.S.I.E. (feat. Stephanie Linn)” is a powerful tribute to Timothy’s mom and their time together. The track hits heavy with stately strings, organ, a gorgeous alt-rock melodic guitar hook, and potent, unguarded sentimentality.  

Dark views his music as part of a highly curated artistic experience for his audience, and, therefore, is very thoughtful about his all facets of his imaging and videos. Surrounding him is a close artistic family of musicians, filmmakers, producers, and clothing designers. Longtime collaborator Dan "The Band' Policar (Sean Paul, Raekwon The Chef) produced The Last Days Of Dark.  He is also joined in the studio and onstage by his musical posse—which includes "Guitar Goddess" Lisa Bianco (Hunter Valentine, Kiyomi Valentine)—under the moniker The Indestructible Characters, (his musical version of a comic book super team) to showcase his players’ ace talents and add extra fuel to his high energy stage show. 
In the future, Timothy hopes to explore other avenues of his creativity through Darkseed Entertainment.  

Timothy recently sat down and listened to his latest album. When he did, the weight of the last few years hit him. He recalls: “Hearing the music, I could feel everything that I’ve survived coming through the speakers: the deaths, the triumphs, losing my job, losing my home and everything in between. This album is me—it’s my soul on wax. I hope it brings people light and strength for their own journeys.”

Entertainer, songwriter, and “Singer at Large” Johnny J. Blair is known for his brand of “pop music with a twist,” influenced by Americana, British Invasion rock, old school soul/r’n’b, psychedelia, and punk/new wave, with melodicism breathed by classical, gospel, jazz, and world music. 

As a solo acoustic act or when fronting a band, Johnny engages an audience. He was called “a white James Brown” by Brown’s legendary drummer, Clyde Stubblefield. Johnny’s current itinerary includes performing in assisted living homes for people with disabilities and dementia: “Music goes through the brain into places where math and language don’t reach. It heals, and it makes a difference.”

Since the 80s, Johnny has issued full-length recordings to a global audience— from the “new wave concept album” DOOR IN THE WATER, to the soulful masterwork FIRE, to the bare-knuckled acoustic “agitpop” of TREADMARKS, to the “Ziggy Stardust meets PET SOUNDS” of GRATEFUL to the glam-tango tinged masterwork I LIKE THE STREET (with musical support from The Badlees, Eric Biondo/Beyondo, and Mike Garson, David Bowie’s pianist).

Johnny has worked with a range of acts—most prominently with Davy Jones of The Monkees (“I learned valuable stagecraft from David”). Johnny played and worked with Jones for 20 years, and he was the touring bassist/vocalist with The Monkees 45th Anniversary Tour of the UK and USA. Other artists Johnny has played with are John Bechdel (Ministry), David Cassidy, Buddy & Julie Miller, and Al Stewart (“Year of the Cat”). 

For 2019, Johnny on the beat with fresh material and a new album in the works, WE’RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE SUN. He says, “I’ve played the Royal Albert Hall, CBGB’s, Disney, The Fillmore, Las Vegas, Mabuhay Gardens, the Tokyo Billboard, holy temples in India, desert islands, Caribbean cruise ships, churches, prisons, garages, biker bars, and picnics, but I’ll really hit it big when I play for you!”

Castellano desde 1977, de famiia trabajadora sin antecedentes musicales y sin entorno artístico que mereciese tal nombre.
Pese o gracias a ello se hizo músico, toca el trombón -su principal instrumento- la tuba y el piano, canta en la intimidad ,y en alguna temeridad ,y compone en intervalos espasmódicos de lustro en lustro.

Ha conseguido editar siete discos como solista y ha participado en  muchas grabaciones para proyectos ajenos.

​Es titulado superior en trombón jazz por la ESMUC, ha sido docente en varios lugares de prestigio como: Conservatori Superior del Liceu de Barcelona, Escola Superior de Músics del Taller de Músics de Barcelona, Universidad de Veracruz en la facultad de Jazz y actualmente en la Escuela Superior de Música Creativa de Madrid.

Imparte talleres,clínicas y clases magistrales .

Su principal actividad es la música en directo, gira con sus propios proyectos al menos dos veces al año y es un músico muy activo en la escena
