Brooklyn-based DJ and producer @Ayesha lines up a four-track EP with @Scuffededrecs, channelling percussive techno, breaks, and bass. 

The Potential Energy EP bears all the hallmarks of the sonic universe that Ayesha has made her own on previous releases for the likes of Fever AM, Kindergarten Records, Control Freak, and Daytimers.

‘We Be Bubblin’ encapsulates Ayesha’s approach to sound design and sample selection, with playful bubbling sounds and vocodered vocals dancing over driving percussion.

Xilla FFR bio:

Xilla is a DJ, writer and cultural worker based in Miami, by way of London UK. Drawing on
their origins in the London leftfield scene, Xilla combines the UK’s bass-heavy sound with
dynamic drumbeats and percussive rhythms, building an intentional yet eclectic sound that
draws on leftfield bass, breaks, garage, techno, dub, hard drum and deconstructed club.
Away from the decks, Xilla is a co-founder of the UK based DJ trio GUYZ and an active
member of the SISU collective which nurtures collaborative and community-driven
approaches to music making, sharing and nightlife with a commitment to supporting the
work of gender marginalised artists and collectively run spaces. This mix recorded for FFR is
a tribute to UK Bass music past and present and the sounds it inspires: Garage-y, Dubby,
Bassy bangerz only. Rinse, Repeat.
