intR are:
Daniel Featherstone, Ben Kurth and newest member Jeanine Makawwai.
 
Dan and Ben first teamed up in 1997 after a chance meeting while working in desktop publishing. They quickly realized a shared passion for music and musicianship and began to blend their influences ranging from Aphex Twin to Issac Hayes.  As Oversoul, the two challenged a market already saturated with electronic niche artists by focusing on song writing rather than gadgets and knob twiddling.
 
Over the years, their sound has evolved along with the technology, but the true essence and spirit remain: thoughtful composition and live instrumentation meet devastating beats in a fresh trip-hop culmination.
 
Newest band mate and Chicago native Jeanine Makawwai brings life and originality to the duo. After discovering her stunning impromptu YouTube performances, the duo approached Jeanine about a collaboration - intR was born. The defining, compelling sound Dan and Ben have tirelessly pursued is now coming to fruition.

Some chose the safety of solid ground while some were at sea.
