At the age of thirteen, Soliloquy made his debut performance in front of a sold out venue; a guest appearance on stage with New York Hip-Hop legend Pharoahe Monch. In July of 2011, he released his debut EP “The Unveiling”, receiving much acclaim from industry figures and the general public alike. He spent the following year honing his craft, working on new material and performing around Melbourne.

2012 brought a rebirth for Soliloquy, as he matured lyrically and experientially. His second release “Seven” illustrated a more focused and concise lyricist, one with a discerning ear for structure and musical evolution. In the same year, he became one of six finalists in Triple J’s Unearthed High competition, receiving regular airplay from the station in the years to come.

More focused than ever, Soliloquy delivered his third offering "Double Sided"; a short but concise piece of work that was released early in 2013. Featuring guest verses from Remi, Dylan Joel and Elemont and production from Sensible J and Dutch, Max Damage, Billy Hoyle and SILENTJAY, "Double Sided" proved Soliloquy to be a more measured lyricist, yet one whom still displays a knack for intelligent and thought provoking lyrics.

He has shared the stage with De La Soul, GZA (Wu-Tang Clan), The Pharcyde, Xzibit, as well as many of the finest talents Australia has to offer.

We don’t know exactly what he has in store for us in the near future, but one thing is for certain, with a strong understanding of the foundations of Hip-Hop and respect for its’ future, Soliloquy will further cement the legacy he once built; proving that he displays all the hallmarks of a long and prosperous career.

Originally from France, Max started DJing in Paris which was his home before moving to Melbourne in 2003. 
Co-Owner/Manager of renowned Melbourne record store Alley Tunes, MAXVEGAS is totally immersed into music. Veteran of the DJ circuit, Max is well remembered for his long-term Saturday night residency at the very iconic now defunct St. Jerome's where he was delivering a 5 hours set on a weekly basis for 5 years until it closed down. Over his 20 years in Melbourne Max has been holding many residencies as well as guest spots in many bars, Clubs, Warehouse Parties and Festivals like Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore, Maitreya, Strawberry Fields, Yemaya, Big Day Out, Kiss My Grass, Stereosonic New Caledonia.
His love for the groove led him to collect a wide range of music on vinyl. 
Techno, House, Funk, Disco, Boogie, AfroBeat, Jazz, Dub, Reggae, Trip-hop, Hip-Hop spanning all eras from the 70's to today's most sophisticated sounds.
No matter what he plays on the day it will always be about the journey for listeners and dancers.
Like in the old school DJ tradition his sets are orchestrated winding through space and time with unlimited dynamic range crafting moods and feelings.
Max has been running his events ''MUSIC AS LIFE'' where he invites locals and international Dj's and Musicians that design their lives around music.
