For ava. records, the sky's the limit, as you'll hear in the latest Carhartt WIP Radio show, bringing together a mix of house, techno, soul, hip hop, funk, jazz and disco. Established by the Cologne-based DJ and producer Damiano von Erckert in 2011, the label's roster consists of artists such as Christopher Rau, Ugly Drums, Andy Vaz, and Tito Wun aka Twit One (one half of Testiculo Y Uno that brought you the Carhartt WIP Radio Show from August 2013). The multicoloured ava. catalogue also includes musicians as varied as  L.A-based, neo-soul vocalist, Georgia Anne Muldrow. For Carhartt WIP Radio, Damiano von Erckert mixes a selection of old and new ava. records, special remixes, tracks from his latest EP “Giant Pandas And Other Nice Things In Life”, along with other rarities that will make hip hop heads just as happy as club music devotees.

For Daniel Leseman & Junktion (Hans Peeman), successful producers on their own merits and friends since childhood, a collaboration was inevitable. The success of it of course never is, but their house sound infused with disco and a lot funk has been proven to be very infectious.

After the infamous Detroit Swindle signed them to their Heist imprint and released the booming Kill Frenzy EP their name was established firmly to quick growing broader audience. Resulting in request for Dj-sets across Europe & the America’s, with personals highlights on Glastonbury, LoveBox and Output New York.

Their first vinyl release as Fouk, on their own created Outplay Records was met with great enthusiasm, the brilliant reactions to ‘Stuff Your Dad Liked’ and ‘Cat Lady’ propelled Fouk and Outplay firmly into the scene as the ‘one to watch’. Following swiftly on, they produced a formidable remix for Lay-Far on the Swedish Local Talk Records. One of Detroit's finest producers is possibly one who also flies furthest under the radar. Blair French has been quietly releasing stellar music under his real name while also having his fingers in a number of other projects, most notably Cosmic Handshakes and Nois Land. His musical output ranges from purely cinematic works, to sun-kissed melodies to afro-house stompers and it's this versatility that helps keep his releases 100% fresh. His latest is a solo EP coming out on Phat Phil Cooper's NuNorthern Soul, which shortly follows a split record store day  7" with Pontchartrain on Rocksteady Disco (hot tip!!). The "Patio Pastels EP" sees Blair don his balearic hat for six intoxicating tracks.

Our premiere today is the title track. Let Blair French whisk you away to the tropics as you can almost feel the warm ocean breeze emanating off of the composition. The steady hand percussion and understated bassline create a repetitive and trance-like atmosphere that allows you to close your eyes, while the acoustic guitar (played by Michael Jurczak) and Blair's melodies let your mind drift and wander in the sun and sand.  Patio Pastel is constantly evolving, something we've noticed Blair do in the past on compositions such as Standing Still Is An Illusion, where the song turns into a journey in and of itself. Sunglasses on and mojitos in hand, sit back on your patio and relax as this is the perfect spring to summer transition album.

Brigitte writes all of her melodies and lyrics,
occasionally from poetry she has written not only recently, but as well as many years ago. 

Inspired by jazz-fusion. Argentinian and Cuban mix. The past decade, Brigitte Zozula has searched for artists around NYC in collaboration for new projects. Working with artists such as the very talented David Marston (also part of Deja Villa, and represented by Ultra Music/Soul Clap Records/Crew Love/Wolf & Lamb). In November of 2017, Brigitte and David released « Under The Covers » , an EP off of Wolf + Lamb Records that includes a few covers (including some of their previous work) with a reggae twist. 

While attending Frank Sinatra School of the Performing Arts in 2006, Brigitte had the opportunity to be the lead singer in the schools Jazz Band. This guided Brigittes interest in Jazz music and the natural art form of jazz. Attending IAR (Institute of Audio Research) in 2016, studying Music & Entertainment Management, Brigitte has learned from various courses. After the completion of the MEMP Program at IAR in 2016, and winning the Next Level Competition in 2016, Brigitte continues her path to expand the conscious generation. Always open to work with artists all over the world, intertwining ideas and culture throughout her many styles.
