Duke

Just to be clear! A totally original track made with hardware (midi) gear. Included a sample of my own voice triggered by an Octatrack. Recorded a few day’s before «Duke». The bass is a Korg MS-2000r and a Behringer TD-3, screeching synth is a Waldorf Blofeld. 15 minutes long @ 128 bpm:)

Drive Bass

A track from mid. Nov. that uses 3 LFO’s on the Octatrack to modulate the bass and drum samples in the JV-2080 synth. Includes 3-4 vox samples by «Spaced out samples». Micromodular, Blofeld, MS2000r, JV2080, DRM1 mk IV, MoPhatt, Cycles, etc.

A myriad of synthesizers, effects and sequencers here. Main synth is a Subharmonicon (disappears midway) and voice is mine:) Moves @130 bpm. Only an mp3.

Long! Get's good around the halfway mark and towards the end:) Mp3 version. «Sequence» release with 3 new tracks available soon (check buy link).

Sequence 7

Quick jam made in 2 hours yesterday and mastered using Wavelab today, not perfect but really like some elements here so may do a new take of this sequence and add it to a "Sequence II" release due in desember:) No voices or samples used here. Only various synthesizers (7). Enjoy!

Sequence 31

Forgot about this mix that didn't make it onto my forthcoming "Sequence II" album (just completed, see link). Mostly a minimal jam but some energetic beats that are unusually fast moving (for me at least)at 137 bpm:) Unmastered/mp3 version.

Sequence 13

Playing around with the original «Techno Percussion» track that was released years ago but sadly removed from all streaming platforms in September. Mixed with a new track «Sequence 1». This whole «Sequence» series uses a Moog Subharmonicon as it’s main driving force. The funky sequenced bass is a Korg MS 2000r. Mp3 file here. Moves along at 128 bpm. Traktor remix.

Sequence 1 (techno percussion mix)

Unmastered remix of "Conspiracy of Silence" track. Original version sounds way different. Only sample used was my voice saying "Conspiracy of Silence". 
There are 6 (or 7?) synthesizers in this version, that's including drums/percussion. Enjoy! Mp3 version (320 kb/s).

Conspiracy of Silence (Acid mix)

Experimental journey of sounds. A continuation of the previous bass theme (this playlist) while using the Moog Subharmonicon & Micromodular as main characters in this sonic drama:) Decent headphones are a must for this one!

Difficult track to master (maybe some distortion) despite only using 2 synths: Elektron Cycles & Moog Subharmonicon. 24 bit wav. Partially planned/improvised. Recorded mid February 2024!

Subgroove

Made 3 years ago. Decided to divide the complete 14 min mix into 2 parts, hence the title «System part I». Also made an alternative mix ca 12 minutes (“better mix”). The usual sounds with more vox samples and prophetic words courtesy of Climate Scientist Will Steffen. The driving rhythmic force here is from a Roland D2 groovebox (orange thing).

System part I

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.
