Créé en 1999 par David Duriez, le label indépendant français Brique Rouge continue à diffuser le son électronique auquel David crois dur comme fer et défend depuis toujours. Loin du formatage et des excès de vulgarité de la scène électronique actuelle, le label diffuse un son électronique éclectique qui reste ancré dans l'underground et sur une vibe clubbing avant tout.  En général les artistes de l'équipe profitent d'une carte blanche et c'est surtout l'état d'esprit qui prime. Le label ne cherche pas le succès, il est un succès. Le succès de pouvoir sortir de la musique sans compromission. Avec une sortie par semaine sur les plateformes depuis 2020, le label (et ses divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) est perçu comme un incontournable de la scène électronique underground française au regard de l'activisme dont il fait preuve.

Fidèle à l’esprit des débuts de cette musique, l’Acid House, la House de Chicago et New York ou encore la puissance de la Techno Belge ou de Detroit, le label enchaîne les sorties depuis 25 ans sans jamais sombrer dans le cynisme, la nostalgie ou la parodie. Brique Rouge se pose comme un incontournable label hexagonal en ce qui concerne la distribution d’artistes émergents et créatifs (connus ou pas) puisant leur inspiration à la source du genre, mais aussi poursuivant la recherche de nouvelles vibes. Sans impératifs commerciaux, le label innove et ne se refuse rien. Pas de formatage, pas de durée sacrifiée sur l'autel des plateformes de streaming, ici ce n'est pas le visage de l'humain derrière la machine que l'on met en avant, mais sa musique.

The label has been founded by David Duriez who is known for making House and proper underground electronic music since the beginning of the 90's - 30 years in the music industry, founder and keeper of the [briquerouge] label, home of the best french electronic renegades since 1999, David Duriez is lurking in the shadow of the french Electronic scene, keeping it real and true. Artist in various styles of music, dj and innovator, he's always in search of new ways to distribute and value Electronic Music and always a step ahead. Definitely not just one for the hype.

Since 1994, David released over a hundred records under his name, tens under various pseudonyms, outputs mainly vinyl on the most renowned labels like 2020Vision, Ovum, Systematic, Pokerflat, F Communication, Mobilee, Under the Counter, Stickman, Classic Music Company, Crosstown Rebels, The End, etc .. (the list is long, see Discogs.com to be convinced) and as many remixes for some of the greatest (think Moby, DJ Hell, Telex, Random Factor, Johnny Fiasco, Paul Johnson, Kenny Hawkes or Mr.C).

Founder of the label Brique Rouge in 1999 and a whole galaxy of other labels, he participated in the creation of internationally recognized labels such as Robsoul, Freak n'Chic or Rz Muzik. David has carved out his own niche with his pigeonhole defying Brique Rouge label, and his helping to redefine the nations underground music. Brique Rouge has released deep house, jacking house, tech-house, acid house, vocal anthems and much more... Definitely a label for open-minded people, not stuck in one genre of House. 

In a time where two thirds of the tracks being released each week are sounding the same, either a click and paste formula track, a midi template used ad nauseum or just a classic being sampled to death, Duriez still think there's hope for House & Techno and focus to keep it true, groovy, creative, with soul.
