Cynthia Smith is a singer/songwriter and artist who began writing poetry and songs at a young age, but it wasn't until age 50 that she recorded her first CD. The untimely death of a friend motivated her to create something memorable for her 50th birthday, and also to inspire others to pursue their creative passions.  Cynthia's first three CDs were recorded at Ebascher Studio in Newburyport, MA. "Circles of Cycles," her first, was dedicated to the "women in transition" at Jeannie Geiger Crisis Center in Amesbury, MA, where she spent 10 years as a motivational coach and presenter. 

     As an artist, Cynthia works with fabric, paint, hand painted paper and assorted string, ribbon, fabric and other materials to create intricate and sensual collages.

      As a passionate and prolific songwriter, artist and poet, Cynthia records on a regular basis at Bristol Recording Studios in Boston, and has a goal to create a CD every year.  She is currently working on her seventh.
