In the deep psychedelic murmurs of the High Deserts you may come across a unique blend of slick, rubbery beats and ominous wild howls that creates an inviting yet sinister feel in the dust. Britton is a Southern California based DJ and producer known for his dark minimal style of techno. Inspired by socal's underground collectives and full moon gatherings, Britton has developed his own dark sound that compliments warehouse and outdoor environments alike. With releases on Desert Hearts and Minimal Sessions, Britton has been able to showcase his music in multiple cities throughout the U.S., Germany, and Netherlands. In 2021 his EP with Sammy Legs “Weak In The Knees” reached the top 10 overall in the Beatport charts and also has forthcoming releases on Sacha Robotti's label "Sloth Acid". Britton has also shared the stage with djs like John Monkman, Andreas Henneberg, Harvard Bass, Dennis Cruz, The Crystal Method, and Infected Mushroom!

My set from Moontribe's October 2014 Full Moon Gathering. It started just as the moon became fully eclipsed and lasted until the first sliver of moon light emerged on the edge blood red moon. A magical gathering!

Recorded 5am-7am, under a Full Moon eclipse into the sunrise!  Was planning a fully night set here but this worked out perfectly as the first 1 hour 15 were in darkness with the moon just on the way back from the eclipse, and the morning sun coming up in the final 45.  

I hadn't played FMG at night in about a year and a half so this was really exciting for me!  Brought out the weird trippy techno, a bunch of it brand new.  Didn't have much time to mix before the gig so spent my precious time organizing the tracks by energy, I think it worked really well.

Actually I haven't listened to this all the way through as I am getting ready to leave town, but I remember it being good :)  Looking forward to listening fully soon!

another year on the playa, another year of getting lost exploring the dusty thing in the desert we call home.

though I had so many amazing experiences out there this year, one of the highlights was again playing inside Zero Fucks' thundering Burnhain shipping container rave. techno on the playa is a bit rare, and this hidden gem is an absolute blast to escape the playa tech that dominates the city.

mid-week in the early morning hours, I headed over to 9:30 + B, and slipped into the back of the container to make my way through the crowd to the booth. https://soundcloud.com/ssachiko was just finishing up a massive set, and the place was as dark, packed, and hazy as ever.

this then once again is the recording of what ensued during the next hour inside the booming, hazy, strobe-lit, infinity-mirror shipping container from 3-4am wednesday morning.

Hot off the presses, we are stoked to bring you @britton-galland 's incredible set from House of Bass/Space last Saturday. We have been big fans of his ever since he took us on a dark, twisting techno adventure through space and time at Desert Hearts last spring. Obviously, we had to bring him to SF to collab with us for a House of Bass. Britton escalated the vibe and had the Loft transfixed with every effortless move through bouncy, heart pounding tech house, relentless but playful techno, and ending in his signature "creepy, minimal techno". This set is straight fire - the perfect soundtrack for your lightspeed travels through outer space. Big thanks to Britton for being so rad and for coming out to share his musical gift with us!
