Nefonas ep.2: overtoNE

Prepare to immerse yourself in a world of broken and straight beats, ethereal melodies, and gritty grooves. Intricate soundscapes have captured our attention, with messages from deep outer space resonating through our receptors.

We’re thrilled to welcome the like-minded sonic traveler Coben8 and his Reconciliation EP to our catalog.

This 5-track EP features three original compositions that seamlessly blend an uplifting yet surreal vibe, reminding us that alien raves are a reality. With pulsating, sometimes psychedelic grooves, each track envelops the listener in a trance-like journey. With constant energy transmission the vibes are continuously held high.

Adding to these stellar compositions the two remixes by Gorelikas & Cport Cistema excell the emotional bliss. Gorelikas’ remix of “Forward” amplifies the bass and drives the track with progressive housey-acid-infused sounds, while CPort Cistema’s remix of “Union” closes the EP on a comforting note. The broken beat,  lush, two-part melodies and healing basslines create a warm embrace we all dearly need and brings the EP full circle.

Reconciliation

Coben8 - Union

Originally from Bordeaux, Clément navigates through electronic music with eclecticism, curiosity, and humility. He defined by his versatility and the energy he shares through his sets, he is both a digger of rare beats and on the lookout for the latest news. He enjoys juggling between early trance, post-punk, and syncopated sounds while drawing from ambient and dub.

Within Pompelope collective, he stands out as a DJ, event organizer, and label with the compilation "Foule Contact vol.01," an intimate and powerful project featuring emblematic artists from the collective's universe (such as Gui Scott, Eternal Love, Hysteric, Jai or Franz Scala ...). The Pompelope parties, well-known to regulars of East Parisian clubs, provide him with opportunities to express his connections with the artists he admires.

As founding member of the webzine SeekSickSound, he has also co-organized events that have contributed to the rise of bass music on the Parisian scene, featuring artists/collectives like Denham Audio, Egregore, and POLAAR.

Clément Segura also has a more personal project: Tour de Trance. This mix series allows him to satisfy his curatorial thirst by playing with styles and associating artists from diverse backgrounds for exclusive and refined mixes. The series has featured artists such as Marie Montexier, Nathan Micay, Vidal Benjamin, 69 db and Sunju Hargun.

Since 2021, he has also managed the artistic programming at Le 9b in Paris, offering alternative events centered around both experimental and unifying music, all within a historic meeting place for the Parisian electronic and underground scene.
