Dogmother was born in 1983. From the first years of her life she started activities like eurythmics and broad jump in which she won the lug ribbon. When she was in elementary school she wrote articles about cinema for her schools magazine. Her real love, came when she was 15, and that love was hip-hop.

She first introduced herself to the hip-hop scene in 2001 through the group "Tandra" (2000-2001). Her first live performance was with that group in 2001 in club Ydrogeios in Thessalonica. About 2 years later, when "Tandra" didnt exist, she joined the group "031" (2003) as a member. Parallel to that, she experimented with music production and she finally made it. After 4 years, she decided to join Greek hip-hop again, dynamically this time, alone (2004). With excellent beats - rhymes and presence, she chimed in, with rap and soul sounds to bring her own style which raised her to prominence. Her first live in Athens was with "FF.C", a legendary Greek hip-hop group with which she collaborated on their cd "FF.C Klasika hxografimena" with the track "deka pontous takouni" . The same year, 2 hip-hop collections released 2 different tracks of her's. The first collection was "nu-hop over ground hip-hop collection" with artists from all over the world, and included the track "skyles" which was the first track recorded with the group "tandra". The other collection was "to diasthmoploio" featuring Greek artists and included her track "latrevw to hip-hop".

Until now, Dogmother has took part in 50 live shows at least and has also supported groups and mcs on their shows in Greece, like, Phi Life Cypher and Dos-Non. In 2005 the reporter Argirhs Zilos from the Greek music magazine "difono" devoted an article in it's Aprils issue about her first solo cd "niose loipon" . In July 2005 another magazine, "BE", decided to include an interview with her. In 2005, "FF.C" release their DVD "FF.C Fortified concept 18 xronia oxeirwmenoi" in which Dogmother is featured in a track with them.

In the 2000s I wrote and performed with The High Ones (Britpop/Indie-pop) and eventually went solo and formed The Low Countries - a mix of indie-folk to full on band recordings, plus nice stuff in-between. 
I've worked for Warner Bros Music as a co-writer (didn't end well ha) and also co-written with Andrew Rollins (Emmy winning Nashville songwriter).
My songs have been played on BBC6 Music and BBC Introducing, the most recent track 'I'm Away Now' was chosen for Tom Robinson's best of BBC6 Mixtape 2023!

The full story:

Nigel started writing songs during the great war (Blur won) in a remote Mental Hospital in Hertfordshire.  He escaped to London and formed The High Ones with Mark Lee (The Pocket Gods)- Nigel wrote most of their indie-pop style songs and tours of Belgium and the home counties ensued.  A double A-side single ‘Sunny Day/Northern Skies’ was a hit in Belgium and Nigel toured Studio Brussels placing their EP in random drawers, where they remain. Nigel changed his name to Niels and moved to Antwerp - The High Ones had one last gig in The Borderline after drinking several Antwerp bars dry and conversing with dEUS.
Nigel worked briefly for Warner Bros Belgium and through this contact The Low Countries were born, going on to win valuable studio time in a few swanky Flemish studios, all of which boasted that ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was recorded on their sound desk. During this ‘Flemish blue period’ Nigel soaked up Flemish sounds & smells & wrote some classic songs - witty lyrics with a rich skein of melancholy. 
Moving back to the UK in 2006 Nigel was signed to Nub Music and began releasing 7 albums over a period of 8 years. In 2014 Nigel & Els formed a 5-piece band with Rob Daniels, Darren Leadsom and Marc Nellis  - they recorded an EP in 2016 and in 2017 Marc left the band but returned for guest guitar on the band's 2018 album.
Nigel’s songs have been played on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Lancashire, Amazing Radio, Unpeeled.net, Folk Radio UK, Dandelion Radio, Beyond Radio,Studio Brussels, Radio Centraal and Sky TV.

Since 2003 Leb Borgerson has been using synths, drum machines, live looping devices, guitars and various oddball instruments to create a catalog of music singular in style and highly personal in nature. From the densely orchestrated and intricately developed compositions ofNo One Makes a Sound (Lucky Madison Records) to the more playful and beat oriented songs from The Karate Williams Diaries (Central Service Records), to the synthpop and post-rock inspired intensity of The Ancient Motorcade, Borgerson has worked to manipulate strange sounds, melodies, and harmonies and bend them into familiar forms and shapes, creating a highly stylized take on popular music and it's various offshoots. 

An accomplished producer, Leb has done remixes for acts like MC Frontalot, Reporter, and Blue Cranes, won numerous Portland beat competitions, and produced music for companies like Fuel TV, Fox Broadcasting, and Arkham NW. Borgerson has also performed and collaborated with some of the NW's finest (Talkdemonic, Point Juncture WA, Alan Singley, Darren Smith, Arman Bohn)
