It was a windy day, outside the trees were moving their branches energetically...what can I say, I simply let myself be inspired.

“Windy Day” is therefore my musical photograph of that particular moment suspended in time, in which nature becomes a muse and guide for the artist. It does not only speak of an atmospheric wind, but also of that inner wind that moves us, agitates us or lulls us.

I will include “Windy Day” in my new album “Intimacy Vol.2”.

"This song is a pure improvisation, played on the day of the recording.

The atmosphere of the ancient villa in which we were recording, together with the softness of the sound obtained by the felt mounted between the hammer and the string of the grand piano, led my to discover this unknown territory, in which everything is light and ethereal. The result is in a silky melody, which can only by listened with eyes closed."

Brock Hewitt is the founder of Stories in Sound Studios based near Toronto, Ontario. He is currently working out of Canada after interning at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, which was an integral part of his development as an aspiring soundtrack composer in the early years. Brock focuses on creating powerful music that seeks to replicate the depths and intimacies of human stories and emotions. Each composition is hope-filled, story-driven and intentionally crafted. Some compositions are rooted in simplicity, harnessing raw, vulnerable beauty. Contrast that with impactful neoclassical, cinematic, and ambient works at the polar end of the Stories in Sound musical repertoire.
