“Tome of Stars” is a 100 sonnet journey, equal parts art, therapy journal, and exorcism, both a celebration and an elegy, a single narrative arc tracing the birth and death of a relationship. The sixth and final section of “Tome of Stars”, “Scripture”, leaves narrative behind to consecrate the poet’s enduring, unrequited love as sacred text. Comprising nine sonnets, it transforms the terminal condition of quixotosis (a delusional devotion stripped of belief in reciprocity) into liturgy, adopting the voice and cadence of timeless religious writing.

“Dance, Stars!” is the first song in every album and is an outlier in “Tome of Stars”. Unlike the other poems, it was not composed through conventional inspiration but assembled from a word-frequency analysis of the manuscript. After completing the first drafts, the poet examined the text with automated tools to uncover unconscious repetitions and verbal ticks. From the ranked list of words, a new challenge suggested itself in the poet's mind: to fashion a poem by following the order of frequency while introducing only minimal grammatical adjustments.

What began as an artistic experiment under these constraints produced a poem that surprised even its creator. Despite its eccentric genesis, “Dance, Stars!” seemed to capture the essence of the collection in a compressed and distorted form, serving as a mirror and a parody of its language. The poet therefore placed it at the threshold of the book, as an Epigraph, where it functions as a playful yet telling distillation of themes that the subsequent sonnets will explore.

He is currently working out of Canada after interning at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, which was an integral part of his development as an aspiring soundtrack composer in the early years. Brock focuses on creating powerful music that seeks to replicate the depths and intimacies of human stories and emotions. Each composition is hope-filled, story-driven and intentionally crafted. Some compositions are rooted in simplicity, harnessing raw, vulnerable beauty.
