Merging Croatian traditional music with modern psychedelic chill/dub/glitch, "Horns of Veles" compilation guides us through different centuries and regions of Croatia via sound and ambience. For this unique occasion, local artists who have a way of building pathways throughout webs of time are carefully selected. They expressed that sweet spot of connection between traditional and modern through a visionary re-envisioning of ancient songs, sung just for this compilation.

Veles is a major Slavic god of earth, waters, livestock and the underworld. His attributes are wet, wooly, hairy (bearded), dark and with horns. He is associated with cattle, the harvest, wealth, music, magic, and trickery. He has a role in the carnival customs of Koledari shamans and as protector of travelling musicians. In some wedding ceremonies in northern Croatia, the music would not start playing unless the bridegroom, when making a toast, spilled some of the wine on the ground. The symbolism of this is clear: the musicians will not sing until a toast is made to their patron deity.

Brokenblender is Psybass, Ethnic Psybreaks, Downtempo project with Tribal beats, New age groove and Atmospheric vocals, Musical and harmonic melodies alongside broken rhythms and sharp psychedelic sounds. He also reveals the deeper realms of synthesis.
Gena Gritzik is Israeli producer born in Ukraine at 1983. 
In the middle of 90s Gena discovered his passion for electronic music and a desire to produce something for himself. For years he produced music in all sorts of styles but the real attraction has always been to broken music, with complex rhythms, fat bass, ethnic percussion and a deep psychedelic atmosphere. In 2018 Gena decided to take all the knowledge he had gained and all his life experience and turn it into a broken and blended production.
