Gems- 
1. a precious or semi precious stone, especially when cut or engraved.
2. knowledge acquired

There is a certain level of work attached to aquire what we consider valuable in life. In fact, the value is proportionate to the effort we put into obtaining, and shaping the gems we mine along the way.
